I remember waking up and seeing an iTunes link to the album.. I thought it was someone trolling but I clicked on it anyways and the album was like there in the store and I thought it wasn't real until I watched the XO video preview then I spazzed and deleted a **** ton of stuff on my phone just to put it on there

I rmbr wakin up randomly in the middle of night. I checked atrl and seeing the thread Beyoncé - BEYONCÉ at the top. I didnt take it serious, dint even bother to click on it. So used to trollin on this forum so i went to TBH instead and there it was hrsjcsasimgxzxhn

I logged on to my itunes. I played the preview of Drunk in love just to make sure it was real then proceeded to download the album straightaway. I was so overwhelmed i couldnt play any of the tracks. I only watched the Grown woman video in full b4 headin to work. Had my 1st full listen that evening

Btw, i also had a date that night. I was complete bitch cus i was far more interested in keepin up with news on the album than him. He wasnt attractive enough to distract my attention long enough

Didn't think much of it. I thought it was a joke, and then I clicked the link and it opened iTunes. All I remember is clicking purchase and screaming for a good 3 hours before I even played the album.

I booked it to iTunes so fast.
While the songs were downloading, I listened to the snippets.

I remember this girl at work saying she's listening to the new Beyoncé album and I was what? Keep in mind I was working the overnight shift at the time and was kinda sleepy already and paid her no mind, like what is she talking about. My coworker isn't a stan, she's a casual fan and didn't really make a big deal of it or announce it. Low and behold when I get home and log on to atrl, every thread was about Bey's new album. So I just put 2 and 2 together realizing my coworker was right all along, Bey had dropped an album at midnight. lol

I'm still in shock tbh and the fact that she's still slaying a month later and making history is just icing on the cake.

I was summoned out of a delicious slumber on 12/13/13 @12:17am.
Texts & tweets were blowing my phone up! I tried to ignore them ,to wait til the next day but something made me get up and check it out.
Needless to say I never saw my pillow again the rest of that night.
