I think her team wanted for you to be the third single that's why she performed it at vs, but Demi fought them on it, even on Ellen she introduced Demi's performance with "performing her favorite song" which I found weird.

Alright. To all the "stans" saying this album is a 3-year late trend hopping piece of crap, I would like to know specifically what songs on the album you think jump on a trend besides Kingdom Come. As far as I'm concerned that song is the only late trend she had on the album.

It's just ridiculous the way you guys bash DEMI too. The only song on THAT album that was a late trend follower was Neon Lights because that would've sounded good in 2011. There are so many gems on all of her albums that are beautiful and unique and signature to her voice. Pretending like that isn't true is just shameful.

Heart Attack and Cool For The Summer were extremely innovative and acclaimed, as were Skyscraper and Give Your Heart A Break. Wildfire, Waitin' For You, Old Ways, Yes, Stone Cold, Father, Mr. Hughes are all very unique songs that certainly aren't following any "trends", it's just Demi doing what she wants to do. So please, enough of the trash talking and be appreciative that she SERVED vocals this era.

Father is one the most generically put together ballads she's ever released, thank God the live version is strong

Mr Hughes sounds like a poor mans Amy Winehouse, she's attempted that sound better and more uniquely before

Something That We're Not and Really Don't Care sounded like One Direction leftovers.

Two Pieces sounded like a Christina Perry copy.

Fire Starter sounded like 2011 Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry. I'd almost throw Heart Attack in that Kelly category too (reminded me of Catch My Breath).

She always says she's doing what she wants to do and then by the time the next album cycle rolls around she complains about getting bored quickly and the last records sound not being her. I'm sure she'll do the same spiel with this one in 2 years time.

It matters more than you think for Demi, especially with a ballad.

It does sound like Demi specifically pushed the single to be released and they probably wanted to take advantage of the Grammys so they're releasing a video. No idea why it wasn't possible to just send it for adds earlier, Confident has been dead for a long time and they have known that SC is a single so why not?

Anyway i'm not gonna bother getting annoyed because there's no point, hopefully this will still somehow work out and not become the MITUSA of the album.
