Just heard this and....huge swing and a miss for me.
I was so ready to stan for her with this second single after liking Stars Dance and absolutely loving Good For You (seriously one of the best singles of 2015), but Same Old Love is just doing absolutely nothing for me. The production just feels so flat for me, and the melody and song in general just don't seem to go anywhere.
I'm so tired of Charli XCX and her entire schtick. I hated Sucker and True Romance was only ok. It looks like she can't even write good songs for other people anymore when you could at least count of her for that.
I'm still perched for Revival, and I'm hoping Good For You isn't an outlier because I find something about Selena just so likable.
My stan card remains on backorder for now though.
