Um. People drop songs in the summer all the time. Look at the countless artists (including Selena who dropped Good For You at the beginning of the summer) who did the past three months.
By the time, Slow Down got going in the fall once C&GI peaked, everyone already downloaded it from the pre-order so sales weren't high enough to match the so-so radio play it got.
I wonder if she's including polaroids in the album a ala 1989
