Wait so you hope it leaks? Haha
I'm absolutely sure she will. At least 1, if not 2. I bet we will get the next promo single towards the end of April. Dying for it to be HBHBHB

I hate the word "bop," I feel like it has such a bad connotation, as if florence rekeased a generic pop mainstream song. But if seems everyone on here likes silly "bops"
Sorry for the rant, I get what you're saying. Is Third Eye something like what you want?

Flo is the perfect example of a pop girl who can make non generic music and still be popular. She's that talented! Slay

^^ agreed but honestly I don't consider her music "pop." That simply is not the correct genre to label it, not when artists like Taylor swift and katy Perry are also "pop." I'm sorry to sound pretentious. It's not flat out alternative either, somewhere in between the two, probably leaning closer to alternative. For example, you would never hear florence on the radio

I heard Dog Days and Shake It Out on top 40 radio a good bit (plus Sweet Nothing a lot) and I've heard WKOM on a few times right after its release. I definitely think of Florence as just really good pop music with tinges of alternative. Or at least that is how I classify Lungs and Ceremonials. HBHBHB is leaning more alternative so far. She also gets the media coverage of a pop star, not an alternative artist. Pop music doesn't have a negative connotation attached to it immediately. There is generic pop music, but there is also generic alternative music.

You really do sound pretentious in this and your other comments though...
You're acting like all pop music is generic and bad.
Have you ever heard pop acts like Hurts, Say Lou Lou, Marina and The Diamonds, etc. etc.
There are so many good artists out there who make great pop music.
Don't side eye the entire genre just because there are artists like Becky G and Pitbull etc. scoring hits.
And you do hear Florence on the radio.
Don't act like she's all underground cause she's not, she's a mainstream artist who's signed to a big label but her music is a mix between alternative and pop, not just straight forward pop.

I disagree. What is "pop?" If you look up what pop originally was, you'll see it is very different from the label that we give "pop" music today.
And you practically just restated what I said in your last paragraph, while trying to talk down to me a bit. Her music is of course somewhere between pop and alternative. But go to the pop charts on iTunes or billboard, you're not going to see her. She doesn't have mainstream appeal (what is her highest chatting song? Exactly), nor is her music "generic." There's not quite anone else doing what she's doings right now or even since lungs. I'm not saying she's a complete innovator, rather I'm just saying that "pop" is not the best label for her music. That's all.
Marina's and Florence's music is very different. Yes, Marina is pop, imo. Not completely, but definitely more so than florence, due to the "instruments" she uses and how her music sounds. I'm really not shading pop, since clearly I like a couple pop artists.

'Pop' is just an abbreviation of the word 'popular'. You can't define the genre, some people tried though. Stop saying pop music stands for **** songwriting & bops. You're just being an annoying hipster.
This band's talents have been *****d out for major blockbusters. They fit the genre 'pop' perfectly!

I have no idea what you're trying to say in your last paragraph, but can you calm down a bit and not be insulting? There's no fighting or argument going on here, at least from my end, so idk why you're coming at me. I actually agree with what you're saying mostly, except for the fact that I don't think FATM fit "pop," nor do they fit "alternative," completely. There are clearly a lot of influences. But one thing that is indisputable is that they are not "generic," which is a lot of what pop currently is. There's nothing geneic about FATM, and if you deny that, idk why you're a fan.
Literally all I'm saying. Of course they have pop influence. Nothing wrong with pop per se, just that most of my favorite artists don't entirely fit that label like a lot of artists do. Nbd, so calm down

When I refer to bop here I mean like a stomper song that Florence has made before she has plenty of them

Yeah, I gotcha, and I'd love that as well. I hope she doesn't conpletely and entirely ditch the sound and stuff of ceremonials. Honestly I'm missing the layered, harmony-filled vocals of her first two albums. I miss my loud, booming choruses full of Florence's voice multiplied by 10
