EXCLUSIVE! Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Tells Us Her First Independent Clothing Line Is ‘Close To Happening!’
Are you dying to see which new ‘pieces’ Ashlee will have in her collection?
Ashlee Simpson, 25, looked drop dead gorgeous Sept. 10 at the BCBG fashion show, part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, at Lincoln Center in NYC. But even more interesting than what she was wearing is what she’s designing herself! The fashionista told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “My best friend and I, that I grew up with, are in talks for [a clothing line.] It’s relatively close to happening.” When asked if it would be clothing or accessories, she simply answered, “more pieces.”
Ashlee previously collaborated on a line with Wet Seal back in 2008, but it sounds like this will be her first independent line — and we can’t wait to see it! But don’t expect big sis (and fellow designer) Jessica Simpson, 30, to help Ashlee out.
“I don’t help her with her line and she doesn’t help me with ours,” she told us. “But we support each other no matter what, and I wear her line all the time.”
Ashlee even told us her favorite part of Jessica’s line: ”The skinny jeans because they’re cute on the booty, and that’s always important when it comes to jeans.”
We couldn’t agree more Ashlee — it’s very important for jeans to give you a cute tush because no one likes a saggy one!

in some all-important family time, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were spotted with their son Bronx in New York City today (September 10).
The former “Fall Out Boy” rocker flashed a peace sign as he led his lovely wife and son out of the Ritz Carlton Hotel amidst a sea of shutterbugs.
Earlier today, Ashlee looked to be thoroughly enjoying all that Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week had to offer.
She stopped by to check out the new BCBG Max Azria designs at the Spring 2011 runway show where she even scored a front-row seat.

Ashlee Simpson Sits Front Row at BCBGMaxazria Fashion Show
Taking a break from husband Pete Wentz and son Bronx, Ashlee Simpson showed up at the BCBGMaxazria show looking all too chic. She paired her flared jeans with an edgy cropped leather jacket and leopard pumps. She finished off her look with a vintage Chanel pearl necklace. Although she looked ultra hip, our attention was drawn towards her radiant two-toned locks.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has drawn more than 200,000 visitors to its Bryant Park tents since 1994. This season marks the event's Lincoln Center debut. Once known as Press Week, New York Fashion Week was founded in 1943 to distract from French fashion during WWII; it was rebranded Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in 2009.
The week features all-American and avant-garde creations by such homegrown phenoms as Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, Donna Karan, Diane von Furstenberg and Marc Jacobs.

Of course she's the queen of beauty she needs to sit in the front row. The other gurls except Kelly looked pressed cuz Ashlee's beauty is the most shining.
