I'm proposing a list of acceptable nicknames for the Tennis Thread, because it's not fair that some people are some people are getting warned for it, but many are also getting by. And it's not fair because some other threads, much more active than this one, aren't as moderated much and thus people don't get warned for nicknames. It's just that 50% of the moderator population is into tennis, that our thread, which is not even remotely a big thread, is getting too restrictive.
And what I mean by acceptable nicknames, are nicknames that even the TF uses. As long as their nicknames are "game-related", rather than derogatory, then I don't see the problem.
For example, I'd say "VIP" is acceptable just because it is already widely used, and in the same vein as Legend, or Legend X. But if I were to say, Manrena, BloodPressure or MustachePova, then that's derogatory.
I'd like to really have this proposal accepted. But knowing I'm a Petra stan... she has the longest list of nicknames.. so we better have some consistencies.
Maria: Sharpie, Masha, 3-set-Pova, FighterPova, CowPova (this is legit)
Not acceptable: Teabag, etc...
Vika: Vitchka (game related.. we all know how she goes down on court), Vuvurenka
Not acceptable: Guest, Fatrenka
Serena: Lord, etc...
Not acceptable: Manrena, ATPrena, etc...
Ana: VIP, Ajde
Not acceptable: Blood Pressure...
Petra: Disco, P3tra, GODTra, Barktra, Pojdtra, RadekTra, Ludmilla, etc...
Not acceptable: BellyTra, ShitRa, SlowTra
We should also have an acceptable nickname prefix, such as "Serve", as in "ServeRena", ServePova, ServeTra, etc... But ServebotRena shouldn't be acceptable.
I mean some players can serve exceptionally so well, that they deserve such endearing nicknames.
I don't know, but it's just not fair that a not-so big thread in ATRL is getting warned more than any other Lounge thread... it's time to put some consistency for once.
