Hmm..

I guess I'll give season three a try. I grew up with season one and two, never watched season three as a child, so maybe that's why it is easier for me to watch one and two. Season three seemed like it started slow... but will give it a shot.

Personally it did take some time to get into it. The character development in Season 3 >>>>> Season 2

It's much better when they get over the whole card thing. Watch it, I don't think you will regret it specially since you like 1 and 2.

I was actually disappointed how the card system wasn't as effectively utilised. It was great way for the tamers to support their partner digimon in battle without feeling useless. I mean digivolution is important and all, but having this system would have given the tamers to actually contribute to the battle, rather than being little more than cheerleaders and potential targets for the enemy.

3 is the peak of the show in terms of actual quality. It's genuinely fantastic outside of nostalgia factor (which is the best thing S1 has going for it). Can't really begrudge anyone who says 1 is their favorite though.

Although I never watched seasons 5 or 6 so maybe one of them was randomly flawless (lol yeah right)
