Finished this in the early of hours of this morning! Really good! The only thing I was disappointed with was the ending.

I sorta wanted Beck to live and Joe get done for his crimes, although in a way I also liked the open ending with Amy Adams


I've just started reading Captive in the Dark by C.J. Roberts as it was free on the iBooks store. It has mixed reviews but it is apparently really fascinating so hopefully turns out good.

sounds like a plan. just be aware that it's quiet different from the first. so far i've only seen people either hate it or love it. i love it

i finished reading the mortal instruments series (finally but now that i'm done I miss it )

read everything everything by nicola yoon which I absolutely hated. gave it 1 star but if I could I'd give it zero.

read the glittering court by richelle mead which was so good; 5 stars.

finished the wrath and the dawn novellas and am now onto the second book in the series, the rose and the dagger

Book Thief is manipulative and not actually that good.
You was disappointing; I was expecting to be icked out by how convincing the main character was like with Lolita, but he was often crazy in a tedious way.
Divergent, Mortal Instruments, Maze Runner, Throne of Glass, Morgan Matson, Jodi Picoult, Everything Everything, Wrath and the Dawn, Lord of the Rings are all varying levels of okay.

I'm super excited that one of the best books of all time, The Handmaid's Tale, the true dystopian masterpiece, will be adapted and starring one of the best actors of all time, Elisabeth Moss. She's also in the 2nd season of Top of the Lake. Both 2017, yas.

The language style is obviously dated, but it's worth it if you push through because The Two Towers is a masterpiece.

Have any of you read A Little Life? I read that about a month or two ago and I still think about it daily. It's had such an impact on me. Truly an experience. I highly recommend it.

Currently I'm re-reading The Mortal Instruments series since I barely remember the series.

I read it and only have thought about it afterward when someone else brings it up.

It's okay. Could use a good editor. Poor portrayal of queer men. Characterization beyond the main 2 or 3 figures is very thin. The backstory is too soapy/VC Andrews to take it seriously.

currently reading House of Leaves. Such a weird, ****ed up, amazing novel. I strongly recommend it if you want to be scared of the dark and void-like spaces. I also downloaded a lot of free Kindle books that I'll read.

I finished reading "Life form" by Amelie Nothomb this week!

It's about a famous belgian writer (actually, the author is the character in the book) who receives a letter from an american soldier in Bagdad and how they start a friendship through correspondence.
It talks about a lot of topics, from fame to obesity to loneliness and it's really great.

Also it's a really short and light read, Amelie is really direct and ironic.
I recommend this book.
