1. Metal Rock left TRL when Iann Robinson left MTV News.
2. When KoRn's Here To Stay left TRL for good.
3. When Lil' Mama went top 5.
4. When the **** Shop Boyz debuted.
5. When Sean "Asshole" Kingston debuted.
6. When Hurricane "Katrina" Chris debuted.
7. When Soulja Boy debuted.
8. When TRL took a two-week hiatus.
9. When Damien Fahey hosted solo everyday.
10. When Carson Daly left TRL.
11. When Hillarie Burton left TRL.
12. When Ananda Lewis left TRL.
13. When Susie Castillo left TRL.
14. When Dave Holmes (a St. Louisan) left TRL.
15. When Rihanna's Umbrella got screwed out of retirement.
16. When MCR's Teenagers got screwed out of Retirement.
17. When Linkin Park's What I've Done got screwed out of retirement.
18. When FOB's The Take Over, The Breaks Over got screwed out of retirement.
19. When MuteMath's Typical refused to get a single day on TRL.
20. When Lily Allen's LDN left the Countdown.
21. When Quddus left TRL.
22. When Vanessa Minnillo left TRL.

25. When they started to go to routine 4-day weeks.
26. When they started to stop showing on-deck videos everyday.

28. When SuChin Pak went AWOL from TRL MTV News segments in Mid-to-late June 2007. (at that time, the countdown was ****** as it was, so that was uncalled for; however, Pak is back on TRL doing the MTV News updates as usual.)
29. When they stopped using phone votes.
30. When they failed to change set/graphics this season.
31. Moving timeslots in the summer to 1:00P EDT.
32. When Gangsta Crap Rap started to gain a foothold on the countdown.
33. When KoRn's Evolution got screwed out of a single day on TRL.
34. When Evanescense's Call Me When You're Sober got screwed out of retirement.
35. When they started to throw in useless stunts.
36. When JoJo's TLTL got cheated out of retirement on purpose.
37. When Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Sum 41, and many other punk-rock bands left TRL.
38. When POD left TRL for good.
39. When Limp Bizkit left TRL for good.
40. When Britney Spears left TRL for good.
41. When the 1998-2002 foursome of Britney, Christina, NSYNC, and BSB collapsed.
(of those listed, only Christina and JT have had any impact since 2005.)
42. When BSB left for good on TRL.
43. When Gideon Yago left MTV News.
44. When the Plain White T's failed to get past 8 days.
45. When Ray Munns left TRL.
46. When underground/alternative got screwed.
47. When Maryiln Manson left TRL.

RIP TRL September 1998-September 2007.it was nice run but like Nelly Furtado said "All Good Things Must Come To An End".so true to this once golden show.i must admit i watched trl for guest and see who was on top.i hardly even watch it anymore.what kills me lack of variety on the countdown,the "dating games",damien hosting and pimping Shop Boyz and Sean Kingston,they didn't even change set or take trl out for the summer like in previous years.that tells me something right there.NOT Letting Videos retire as they should.as stated in previous post.I miss mtv top 20 countdown,mtv live,and dial mtv precursers to TRL.oh yeah total request.no audience,no games.Just carson in studio playing music videos.
