⚫ Overall, she kinda evolved with her music but definitely preferred her self-titled debut because the songs there were far more catchy! This album was kind of minimalist in terms of production especially when you hear it. Still, the lead single was the strongest point on the album for me, and the rest of the tracks still yet to grow on me unlike her first material where almost all were very melodic! Not saying that this isn't, but well as compared to her first, it's a bit of a step-back! Girl is greatly talented with her music though and I still appreciated this!

⚫ At first, as I listen upon their album, I didn't care/mind for this song at all, and was kinda forgettable, but then as I realized that it was made as a single! I youtubed the song again and found it pretty nice but I'm not yet sold! The video came out and it kinda hooked me to the song! And as for now, I really loved it and considered it underrated. Something about it, reminds me of some 70-ish 80-ish classic sound especially of the vocal melodies. Love the sentimental vocals on this one by Nate Ruess

⚫ Certainly the sole and ONLY J-POP entry on this Best Of, and the first one ever to reach #1 in my Weekly Countdown! How I stumbled upon this song is courtesy to SO.UNCOOL's countdown over the Your Top 10 section, whereas this was his #1 on that certain update! So out of curiosity, I checked it out and the song was basically a reminiscent of such organic dance-pop songs over the last decade! The video provided appropriate visuals and really loved the editing and the choreography! There is something in Asian-pop music videos that really slay on that department and this one ain't an exception

⚫ Nowayears, I think this song is a testament that is basically an artist that stick where she does it best! An epitome of a song that speaks huge volume lyrically while melodically, its structure is very pleasing. It's kinda rare to see that an artist such Alanis delivering true message about such matters in life! And this song, is just about taking one's time to rest and turn to "receive" anything or such! Kinda about give and take and learning how to "receive"! What a sigh of relief this song has been always for me!
