Why?: One of my favorite new artists this year was Disclosure, their album is so damn good. "F For You" is amazing for the fact that Howard & Guy sing! I really love when an electronic music artist sings in his songs, it's just so damn epic! Simple lyrics, great video. There is still one song left from Disclosue
I love Cups! Like Dark Horse, it kind of struggled to become a single and especially since it is part of a soundtrack and then got a pop remix it ended up peaking at 6 in the US but it is so refreshing in the pop music environment and I believe Anna was named one of the year's top artists which is cool for an actress!
Ylvis though! YouTube sent me an email congratulating me for being one of the first to discover it LOL Like you said, catchy and with a good beat but so dumb! (I liked the performance with Crayon Pop in the MNET Awards)
I'm not a fan of 23 but I have a friend who is. I liked the sudden fascination with the 20s in pop music "Adele 21, Taylor Swift 22, Mike Will Made it 23"....who will do 24?
I used to like White Lies with To Lose my Life but I kind of forgot them. Will check the song though.
