Well this is a big surprise! I figured that you'd all rank this significantly higher, especially considering the cultural force this song and video was. However, I think when you pull away the hype, what you're left with is a fun little song without much substance (re: Just Dance).

I mean, we all know that Beyonce has had some stellar #1s, and it's interesting to see this one lumped with Crazy In Love and Irreplaceable, when it's nowhere near those in terms of overall quality.

Fun fact: Liza Minelli's version of this > Beyonce's. Yeah I said it.

I guess people just don't share the feelings I have for this song. I mean the lyrics may be a little basic, but the song itself is just so whacky! I love it.

Heh. I remember watching this video and thinking that it was the coolest thing ever, and watching it today just makes me kii like cray. Other than that, it's a cute Janet song, wouldn't you agree? Her voice is high and lovely, and the beat is repetitive in a comforting way, isn't it? It's a tad forgettable though, so I can understand it being at 32.

"Single Ladies" is fantastic, but listening to it for this rate doesn't do it justice. If you asked me for my opinion after I had just busted my ass on the dance floor, I would probably be like, "TEN!!!!!" Asking me the same question as I sit in my room on my computer probably undersells its impact. It's greater as an experience than as a song.
