About the title of Katy’s new album “Prism" I have a theory that I think that would explain it.
As you can see on the picture above, when light goes through a glass prism it becomes a rainbow.
It could be a metaphor. Katy is the light, like her soul or whatever. She went through a transformation or a situation that changed her (the prism) and when she “walked away" from that situation she was more beautiful, stronger, wiser (represented by the rainbow).
It also fits what she said about Killer Queen. That she feels that she’s finally become that woman that Freddie mercury was talking about. Powerful, independent, strong, sexy.
It’s a plausible theory and I think it may be correct
