But in hindsight, had the label sent it to radio and released the track/video etc. all at the same time, it likely would have made top 40 with 0 promo. And with promo? Who knows.
It's purely the label's fault as Disaster and Marvin's Room has shown that she's a strong single & good promo plan away from another hit. They've just handled to so embarrassingly badly that I wouldn't be surprised if they're almost trying to sabotage her after she took them to court. [/conspiracytheory]
I'm praying that she can get a hit before Jumping trains and good sales out of the album, but if it does all flop then I at least hope that Blackground drops her and she can sign only with Interscope/find a record label that encourages her to release music in the pop/rnb genre rather than (even though I love Disaster) this dated pop/rock crap.
All songs under Top 40 on radios and basicly even those who are under Top 30 always have a rollercoster updates unless they are by big names..Beside we're at Christmas, so radios also freeze a bit cuz' Christmas songs get more plays and other tracks are gettin' pushed aside, it hurts weak songs like Disaster which is only at Top 50 way more.
The song is 730's on iTunes Overall Songs with that little airplay, the song itself is gettin' regular adds by stations, all we need is a few more big stations to add it and this will take off.
I think that she can gain alot by doing promo but if the label ain't got a lot of money to spend on that promo they are doing the right thing by waiting with promo till they see if the song catches fire on radios cuz' promoting a song that's lingering on radios is stupid and will get them no where.
