Beat of my Heart always felt like a Metamorphosis leftover. It doesn't fit the album at all.

Beat of My Heart should never have been recorded. And I agree Katie, I think all of Metamorphosis was stronger than that song and I can't stand The Math or Love Just Is.

Break My Heart was the anthem off Most Wanted. I could see it all over teen movies at the time tbh.

It's so weird to see how Hollywood Records has rushed recent albums from some of their acts like Selena & Demi, but couldn't tack on more tracks to Most Wanted & made it at least a 10 track album.

The good thing about including Our Lips Are Sealed & Girl Can Rock on Most Wanted is that they weren't on other full length albums from her. So that's 6 songs.

Had they included the few Perfect Man soundtrack songs she recorded & left in demo form, & recorded a track or two more, we could have had another (rushed) masterpiece from the queen of pop.

The transition from pop/rock to dance may have been smoother & the Best Of wouldn't have been as pointless.

Hollywood Records to need certify Metamorphosis 4x platinum and self-titled 2x platinum. They are the worst.

Now that I thought about it, I would have kept the remixes for Jericho, Party Up & I Am as bonus tracks because they were all flawless.

Girl Can Rock would have been rerecorded and along with Supergirl be two of the only tracks not to have a dance sound.

Our Lips Are Sealed would have been remixed as a solo version and more dancey. Much like Why Not for Metamorphosis, it would have been labeled as a bonus track but have made it on all editions of the album.

I'll Give Anything But Up would have also been remixed to be more upbeat.

For me, it wasn't too long, but I would have preferred to trim down the only two filler tracks on the album - Cry and Dangerous to Know.

No, I think it's fine. I would not cut any song, especially not Dangerous To Know. I dig that song, as well as Shine and The Getaway.

-Rock This World (I like the song but it was nothing more Girl Can Rock 2.0)

A lot of the reviews for self-titled state that the album is ALL over the place, but if you look at the time period that Hilary made it, why wouldn't it be all over the place? (I hope that makes sense.) Hilary was in the prime of her teen years, in a new relationship that she couldn't even talk about, and dealing with fame on a worldwide level, the album to be is a pure teen pop-rock masterpiece. I think the timing of the album is fine BUT I really wonder what a FULL version of The Last Song would have sounded like.
