She's had a decent career, but let's not act like she wasn't exploited by Bieber. 2011 was hers because the relationship, HWR promoting her like crazy, and Miley being out of the spotlight helped her shine a bit. While Selena is popular, she's more of a stand-in. She's not a moving force that the Jonas Brothers, Miley, Hilary, One Direction, and Justin Bieber are/were. She's the replacement.
For movies, Selena will never outgross Miley unless she finds some way to be an extra that gets killed in the next Avengers Movie. The Last Song was a commercial "flop" in some peoples cases, and it outgrossed Ramona & Beezuz and Monte Carlo put together (and that's just with the states included, WW she outgrosses them even farther). Selena's career has always been active, it's just that she was overshadowed so it seemed like nothing was really going on.
We need to talk more about her HM days, don't we. That's where it all began, when I turned into a huge Miley fan. It wasn't until CBT (single+video) though, until I really started stanning for her.
