Any thoughts on what she meant with "muddy trap energy"
No one knows and knowing Lana that's nothing new I mean we went from Hollywood sadcore, surf noir cinema, future jazz, west coast rock with jazz undertones, future retro...
By the way this Serial Killer type of song on Honeymoon has to end like FORGET IT
Yeah, the only thing that will be a little bit like BTD is the fact is that she is replacing the guitar sound. It will proably sound a lot like film-music and not as catchy as anything on BTD:

this is an accurate description of Ultraviolence though

It is but it was very unclear before the album dropped! And she kept on confusing us even more with saying things like "Dark Paradise meets MDM" or "MPG will have very radio friendly beats that American radio will like and play"... And West Coast (aka the first song we heard from the album) is no where near Jazz. So I wouldn't trust her one bit when she's describing the sound especially when she makes up words.

Sarcasm. And I am not sure if she said it or the interviewer
Am the only one who doesn't think the bridge is the best part of the song? I like the lyrics but the melody is so Y&B and it feels out of place on the song, the transition between the second verse and the bridge is not right.
I LOVE the first 2 minutes though!! Especially around 0:58s when that very minimal acoustic guitar sound and sliding starts while those haunting backing vocals come in
I kinda agree. I still like it tho. It brings a bit more pop and commercial to the song. However I do feel like its a bit out of place and the transition to it is just a bit weird. But I think it should be there after all.
