When Playboy arrived, he was a teenage boy who thought Beyonce hung the moon. He was the proto-Bey stan: ignorant of all music pre-Destiny's Child. To have watched him grow and evolve has been one of my greatest pleasures. He grew into himself, losing some of his very sheltered black/churchgoing ways and internet coming out of the closet.

I had NO IDEA about this. At least not the Bey stanning--I knew he had some issues with the ghey.

I love Arith and Tim too, even if I don't really talk to either of them

And of course the wonderful £100. I was very surprised to see him make it, but I guess it makes sense as he is a Kylie stan. I'm pleased.

And y'all think Mr. Link is bad? Imagine musicfan - the world's biggest Shania fan, who woul actually slip poison in your drink if you even slightly shaded her. Nowadays they would just be anonymous, but because stannery was so new - they stood out like sore thumbs.

Of course I know. I remember nuroad perfectly. He fit the 'deluded nuts stan' definition to a T, which is only amplified if the person you're stanning for happens to be a Jackson. I don't know how I have evaded it, myself.

Always honest, never rude. Not satisfied unless he's engaging in a conversation about someone. Deffo the most interesting, intriguing and all around inspiring right-leaning poster we've ever had. Bobby is always interested, even when you disagree - I can't stand Katy Perry, but we will have deep discussions about her place in music. He might not agree with what I say (or vice versa) , but he listens (or, well, reads.) Bobby has a lot of forebearers that will appear soon, but his level of discourse brings to mind the ATRL I first met, and soon fell in love with.

He had me at hello ...

Bobby is my first and best ATRL friend. I know he probably isn't reading this thread because he's vacationing somewhere with a bad connection, but I hope he sees it when he gets back.

He is the one poster who always keeps me on my toes--I am eager to read each time he posts, because it usually changes what I think about him. Or it challenges my views on a certain singer/band. The constant is that I have a ton of respect and admiration for him. It's rare that someone's integrity is so visible online.

What did we ever do to get a boy - nay, man now - like this? Someone bitchy and witty but not stupid and ignorant; someone who can be rude but normally is otherworldly levels of politeness. He's just starting to come into his own now (with the advent of Random Thoughts), and I can't wait to see what happens next.
