she should completely scrap these two singles imo, the videos and releases are such a mess. she needs to do what fergie did and let the song build on its own for a month or two and then drop the lyric video, music video and promo it a lot.

Calvin Harris singles get massive airplay everywhere, Gwen should take advantage of it. It's right in the lane of his other songs that are doing really well recently.

I fully believe it has more to do with the crap quality of the song. As much as I love BDL too, that one really didn't have the immediate ear-catching quality that was present in her previous singles either. STF is just bad though.

Together has more hit potential than both of her own singles combined.
Even My Heart Is Open has more potential than her songs.

STF has finally grown on me, I like it, but I know others don't. Pharrell and Gwen are not a good mix. Their sound was outdated on The Sweet Escape and now it's even moreso. Their magic sparked with Rock Steady and Hollaback Girl, and that's it.

Well, the reality is, even after doing all that, Fergie's single didn't become a hit. It underperformed on itunes and radio is dropping it, already.

Gwen is clearly underperforming with "Baby Don't Lie" and flopping with "Spark The Fire" because they both sound very dated. She is not re-inventing herself. She needs to keep up with the times better. That's why Fergie is winning right now. She has, even though the song isn't great, L.A.LOVE (la la) is still #27 on the Hot 100.
