Touring is the money maker now. You still have to kill a stage and bring it if you want to make the real money. Management teams and things know this. The Janet/MJ/Madonna blueprint that Britney flourished in will always be relevant. Being a high prpfile pop star is not all about album sales. They make money and Buzz from many different niches.

Adele is just like a Norah Jones or Celine Dion. Massive sales, no impact. She appeals to average listener and is very safe.

I was about to say the same. Even if Adele does not have touring power (which I highly doubt), her influence based on sales alone has indisputably changed the music industry.

Why are you so hateful toward Adele? I remember you told us to bookmark you when you said Adele couldn't beat Britney's record, but I wasn't going to bring that up until your continued lousy attitude about the current sales situation came up again. Anyone who can tour and rely on their amazing voice and NOT on a showy production or his/her incredible/perfect body IS INDEED changing the music industry for the BETTER.

Adele will tour to support 25, and would have toured to support 21 had she not needed emergency vocal cord surgery. And her tour will be far different than Britney's or Taylor's. It'll be more like Celine Dion's, because they appeal to a similar fan base.

I like Britney, and since Britney and Adele are mutual fans, I know Britney would not appreciate your continued poor attitude toward Adele simply because she is selling so many CDs & Digital Albums. Don't ruin everyone's impression of Britney's entire fan base simply because you are choosing to be bitter. That is completely unfair to the rest of her Army, and to Britney herself.

I agree with everything you said except the bolded, no one sells 30+ million albums today with no impact. Idk if you noticed...but the music climate changed a lot because of the success of 21, we're now in a post-EDM period in music. Also, during the 21 era Adele was called an anti-popstar / anti-Gaga and was praised by everyone for being about the music. People constantly talk about how Adele "saved" the music industry. All of this is impact.

I will agree with you that she appeals to the average listener and is safe - but that's what makes Adels o great. If we lived in a world where there were only artists like MJ/Janet/Madonna then music would be boring, we need artists like Adele who are more focused on the music.

Adele doesn't even need to tour as she has astronomical album sales... 11 million last album and very well she will have another diamond album with 25 as well.

If she tours I'm sure they will be successful as well, just bc she doesn't dance or have massive visual effects does not mean she will not put on a good show. Seeing that 3 million people bought that album in a week should prove her appeal enough. Her tours will be diverse with young kids, teens, young adults, middle aged and grandparents

i don't get the whole "adele has no touring Power" argument. she hasn't toured since spring 2011, when was about to break WW with 21. the demand was great even back then but she Always prefer Theatres (as it should be) but now she´s said she WILL tour for 25 and people in the business are basically saying she could sell out every venue whenever and wherever she want's to perform. if she wanted, she'd sell out Wembley stadium 10 Days in a row i guess, or yankee stadium etc...the demand to see her is at least as big as the demand to hear her. it's just that she really doesn't want to do all the touring and huge stadiums. the girl was doing cafés and stuff like that even until 2011
