The Billboard interview was interesting - interesting how frankly she talks about
ARTPOP, like no one's denying it wasn't her first low-point, and I know we all thought she'd be above flopping, but it could happen to anyone that takes real risks. And thank god she did -
ARTPOP gave us some great tracks, and what other mainstream gal is gonna release songs like "Swine" and "Venus" that deviate heavily from radio norms. It was basically meant to be a disaster, but if she comes back from the brink and gets back onto mainstream radio and pop culture consciousness, it'll be looked back upon as extremely heroic, and rightfully so.
