I've read the guidelines but I wanted clarity.
for instance, last month i was in a singles thread and was warned 3 times (no worries...it brought my total up to 3) for off topic when i did veer off of topic of the particular single; however, I remained on topic about the artist.

I assume that off topic warnings exist as I received them last month. Has there been any changes in the rules of WPs for off topic in singles threads?

Most major stars have base threads yet some don't use it...it's a shame.

I see...so my WPs remain and any off topic material is WP worthy.
It's funny because a poster was going around saying that the rules didn't apply in the singles thread and every thread went off topic.
Yet it Katy's singles thread people were complaining about getting WPs for off topic stuff.
I was instantly confused but now I understand clearly.

Most Single pages don't talk about that single 100% of the time. I think it's fine as long as we talk about the artist.

It's funny I did that last month and received 3 wps and you know i always find a way to keep in directly related and 3% of the time indirectly artist related which I will refrain from after last month.

Well the warnings and reports show who...
Yeah for me...it has to be offensive or extreeeeeeemely off topic...if its artist related I just let it be (even knowing that I can't do it myself cuz i'll get reported). I typically (in the past at least) would report if someone was abrasive, insensitive, offensive or flamebait or if OT included nothing at all artist related...
Just wanted to be clear on my options since its all about objectivity.
