Tonight EBT, hosted a live episode of 106 & Hood where songbird Mariah Carey and #1 hit Rihanna both came on! Mariah and Rihanna were talked about as their new single became the "Urban Single of the Week" on 106 (even tho it's Pop and R&B crossover ) and then they surprised the crowd introducing the two. The audience was so excited, 2 members were literally in tears as Mariah and Rihanna hugged them. As the audience finally settled down, Mimi and Riri talked about the single, how it came together, then premiered the video on 106 & Park as EBT finally received it today (the ghetto is always late). The video received a standing ovation from the crowd, and sent Carey and Fenty blushing. Audience members asked them questions on their albums, singles, the duo, etc. All went well for EBT and the two starlings.

Selena Gomez RAKES It In With Pepsi's Live For Now Campaign
Pepsi has teamed up with global superstar Selena Gomez as a promotion technique. "Selena, as one of the biggest stars out right now, if not the biggest can add new dimension's and expand Pepsi's horizons to new levels." A brand rep commented. "This is going to be global. We have things planned for all over the world." Word is, Selena stuck this deal for a whopping 70Mill.
Fans will be a BIG part of this project, as hundreds (or thousands) will be in the "Live For Now" commercial. This will include people from all over the world. Selena will fly to different cities around the world such as Paris, Japan, NYC, Sydney & more, and something similar too a flash mob will assemble and everyone will have a mini-party to a song that hasn't been revealed yet. Sources are telling us it will be Selena's lead single from her upcoming second studio album but we don't have a firm confirmation. In addition too the commercial, billboards, magazine ads, and Selena's face will be on limited edition Pepsi cans. Not to mention the numbers of performances and events Pepsi has planned.
