Ivy schools are Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, and Yale. They're all east coast.

True. But you often get:

Stanford - the Harvard of the West
Rice - the Harvard of the South ()

and so on. A few farther west schools have "honorary" Ivy reputations.

I don't even know what Ivy League stands for.
