It's not hard to see why Katy has no Grammy. She's never represented a cultural movement and nobody cares about her as a figure within the music world. Gaga was a fad but represented a cultural moment where "weird" was en vogue. Beyonce represents modern day female independence. Taylor speaks to the soul and is inspiring the upcoming generation of songwriters. Katy... is an attractive lady that sings a few catchy songs but ultimately has no identity within the zeitgeist.

I have nothing to hide behind. Gaga has Grammys unlike Katy, is more iconic than Katy, has bigger hits than Katy, and will be remembered more than Katy in 20 years
