Beyoncé Knowles has admitted she thought she would be “retired by 30″. The 29-year-old R&B sensation will hit the milestone age this September, and still has so much more she wants to achieve in her career. The star has confessed she never thought she would be so ambitious though, and originally planned to quit working early on in life. “This is really funny but when I was younger I thought I’d be retired by 30,” laughed the star in an interview with the British edition of Cosmopolitan. “Now I’m nearly there I can’t believe how much more I want to do.” The beautiful star shot to fame in the 90s as the lead singer of girl band Destiny’s Child. She has gone on to become one of the world’s most successful female solo artists, with albums such as 2008′s I Am… Sasha Fierce earning her numerous Grammy Awards. She has also launched a movie career, with roles in films such as 2006 box-office smash Dreamgirls proving just how multi-talented she is. “I never imagined I’d have as much success as I’ve had. I thought it would be great just to get a record out,” she smiled. “I never imagined the extent of what I’ve achieved. I never imagined the awards, the movies… I still can’t believe it. I’m grateful for all of it and don’t take it for granted. When I do something, I try and do it as well as I can.”

Lady Gaga talks Beyonce
Lady GaGa has ruled-out recording any more duets for the time being. When asked if her new album Born This Way features any big name collaborations, the Alejandro singer said she’s more concerned with being a solo artist for now. “I want to stand on my own two feet,” explained GaGa. “I’ve already collaborated with my favorite female in the business,” she added, referring to her duet with Beyoncé on the song Telephone.

Thierry Mugler: Beyoncé is a hundred times better than Madonna
French designer Thierry Mugler, who designed all the dresses for Beyoncé’s last tour, gave an interview to Paris-Match. “Beyoncé is THE showgirl! She works non-stop. She’s a hundred times better than Madonna when it comes to dancing and singing. Madonna is in her fifties trying to dye her hair blond to look younger. That’s a mistake! People in their 50s needs to use what they’ve got: style, a good haircut and make-up. All those things are so much more important than three small wrinkles.”
______
Beyoncé Knowles sheds stress by swimming
The notoriously hard-working singer is famed for her perfectly groomed look. Away from red-carpet events and performing live, the singing sensation says she loves nothing more than to unwind by going on vacation and taking advantage of the open water. The 29-year-old says this relaxation method keeps her feeling and looking good. “My favourite way to relax is to go on vacation and swim in the ocean. My skin looks healthier when I have had a break from work,” she told the British edition of Glamour magazine. The American R&B star is famed for her gorgeous curves, which are the envy of women across the globe. She puts her toned physique down to rigorous gym training and high-intensity dancing routines whilst on tour. “When I am on tour, I dance for two hours a night, and when I’m not on the road, I work out a few times a week which keeps my skin glowing. I run about two miles on the treadmill and I have a great trainer.”
Beyoncé hates men wearing too much aftershave
The Halo singer can’t stand a guy who stinks of aftershave and thinks a subtle fragrance that leaves women wanting more, is far sexier than a man who smells as if he’s bathed in his favorite scent.”A man should never be too overbearing with his scent. I’ve been in too many elevators next to too many men with strong aftershave and it’s a total turn-off,” Bey told Cosmopolitan. “With men, a scent should be subtle, clean and fresh, and just make you want to lean in to smell more. That’s sexy.” As for her own range of perfumes, Beyonce knows they’ll smell sexy to the opposite sex – as husband Jay-Z helps her create them. “One of the most important aspects of my perfume is that they get his seal of approval,” she explained. “When you wear a perfume, you want your man to love it. He loves my scents because he was part of the decision-making process. I wouldn’t wear a scent if he didn’t like it.”

Alexis Jordan: Beyoncé gives me life tips
Alexis Jordan makes sure she tells her mother all about her life – because Beyoncé Knowles told her to. The 18-year-old star found fame after appearing on the first season on America’s Got Talent in 2006. She didn’t win, but after taking part she decided to promote herself on video sharing website YouTube, resulting in Jay-Z and production group Stargate signing her to their label Star Roc/Roc Nation. The rapper has given Alexis a lot of tips, and she has also grown close to his superstar wife Beyoncé. “Yes. I can’t lie – I talk to her a lot,” she said. “When Jay was touring in America, I would sit next to B and she told me, ‘Always talk to your mother,’ and I took that advice.” Jay-Z has also spent a lot of time giving Alexis words of advice. He also mentored Rihanna when she started out, and likes to make sure the young musicians he nurtures can cope with being in the spotlight. “He’s a boss,” she told Look. “He’s given me tips but I can’t tell you what he said – I keep our conversations private.”
_______
Beyoncé is NY Post’s best singer/dancer in pop music today
Last night Jennifer Lopez used a little show called “American Idol” as the platform to launch the music video for her biggest and best single in years. “On the Floor” is a rather intentional kickback to her “Waiting For Tonight” days, in both sound and concept, although the video takes place at an admittedly more lux (that’s what happens when you nix eight million green laser lights) nightclub. And while Jennifer’s moves are still on point, her shimmy has lost a bit of its luster since the 1999 debut of “Waiting.” So it’s time to take a look at our dance card and see who will fill her slot in PopWrap’s list of The Top Five Singer/Dancers:
Was there any doubt B would snag the top slot? If you thought otherwise, I don’t know what you’ve been doing for the last 15 years, but it certainly wasn’t watching a single live performance — be it in concert or on television — as the megastar consistently devoted every ounce of her to the routine. And the fact she was able to do it night after night on her seemingly endless I Am Sasha Fierce Tour makes Beyoncé’s professionalism and skill all the more impressive.
_______
Beyoncé talks her new fragrance, body image and her upcoming album
There are few women who embody celebrity as perfectly as Beyoncé Knowles. She had hearts all around the world “Jumpin’ Jumpin’” as the leading lady of Destiny’s Child, and then we fell “Crazy in Love” when she embarked on her solo career, only to watch her finally claim her rightful position as a full-fledged “Diva” shortly thereafter. With 16 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award-winning film, a fashion line (not to mention the highest honor of all – a Teen Vogue cover!) on her stellar résumé, one might say that Miss Knowles has done it all. Who could blame her if she decided to take an extended break from work? But let’s be serious. This is Beyoncé we’re talking about. The songstress delighted beauty editors and fans alike early last year with the launch of her first fragrance, Heat: a warm, fruity concoction with subtle hints of spice. And now, she’s gearing up for the highly-anticipated release of Heat Rush, a fresher, lighter take on the original scent. We got the chance to ask B a couple of questions about her newest fragrance, career moves, body image, and the lovely Tom Ford. Check out what she had to say, including talks of her new album, after the jump.

But I’ve worked really hard for six years, and I’m going to work even harder until I’m up there with Katy Perry and Beyoncé.’

Gayle King wants to dine with Beyoncé
Gayle King has declared that the celebrities with whom she would like to share a meal are Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z. King, who is a close friend of Oprah Winfrey, told CNN’s Eatocracy that she believes she could engage in interesting conversation with the couple. “I would love to have dinner with Jay-Z and Beyoncé. I think we would have a lot to chat about,” she said. “I like them both so much, and I love them as a couple.” The Gayle King Show host further explained that she admires both Beyoncé and Jay-Z because they are able to balance their high-profile romance with busy careers. The star remarked: “I like that they are both at the top of their game – and that they have a mutual respect and admiration for each other. And I feel the same about them. We’ve been at places where we were at the same room at dinner parties, but when it’s just us just chilling and kicking back, I think that would be a kick.”

NABEF gets moving with Beyoncé
The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) is getting ready to bust some moves. The foundation is partnering with Beyonce for the “Let’s Move! Flash Workout” initiative to show support for Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign to curb childhood obesity. The event calls for middle school students around the U.S. to perform a pre-choreographed “Let’s Move” dance exercise at 1:42 p.m. on May 3. The event is being produced in partnership with the National Middle School Association, the National School Boards Association and the American Association of School Administrators. Beyonce has re-written and re-recorded one of her songs and is providing and instructional video demonstrating the “Let’s Move! Flash Workout” routine. “NABEF is proud to assist the First Lady’s ‘Let’s Move!’ campaign and supports efforts to address the epidemic of childhood obesity,” said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. “We can think of no greater gift to America than keeping our schoolchildren healthy.” On Wednesday, the First Lady spoke on a conference call with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to discuss advancing the “Let’s Move!” program goal of doubling the number of U.S. schools participating in the Department of Agriculture’s HealthierUS School Challenge Program.

Beyoncé donated Gaddafi performance fee
Beyonce has revealed she donated money she received for performing for the Gaddafi clan to Haiti relief efforts more than a year ago. The Crazy in Love singer made the announcement in a statement just days after singer Nelly Furtado tweeted that she had got 1 million dollars from the Libyan leader’s family to perform in Italy in 2007.
Beyonce’s publicist said the star performed at a private party on the Caribbean island of St. Barts on New Year’s Eve in 2009. Once it was revealed that the performance was linked to the Gaddafi family, she gave the money and commissions to earthquake relief in Haiti.
