OMFG the news I just woke up too! THE PICTURES, THE DESCRIPTIONS, THE 2 KILLERS, one using a ***** (LMFAO), Marcie!!! Sarah may turn me straight looking as good as she does!! It's a great movie. One of my favorites.

I see some similarities, but I think that just stems from both being about haunted houses.

Yeah true. I was reminded of it because of the ghosts being stuck in the house having lived there before and dying there, the caretakers actually being ghosts and in on the whole thing, similar to the ghosts of the Murder House (and Constance, even though she wasn't dead, she knew everything going on), them not knowing that they were dead similar to Violet, etc.
