No, Sulli was ill and needed to take a break before she had a breakdown. That's a massive difference already. Another would be that SM probably couldn't fire Sulli (imagine how firing a sick person would look in courts), so that's why they put her on hiatus. I'm also inclined to believe that maybe f(x) supported Sulli in her plea to SM, as we know for a fact that SM don't allow sick members to rest, which is why SM cut all their promotions short.

A lie? Since when/says who? I've never heard of it being a lie, so I'm curious to know another side of this!

If they fired her, they would admit it. Not like they haven't in the past with every other group they've had. It doesn't make sense for them to say she's still under their agency, if she did something that would have gotten her contract terminated. What employer keeps an employee that has given them reason to fire them?

Probably a JoJo style situation. Keeping her in limbo on SM but inactive means she can't sign anywhere else, which is thankfully OK for her, since she has no interest in being an idol and her career is in her own hands. But it still seems spiteful more than anything. Perhaps it also means that they will still earn money from certain appearances and endorsements.

Well....now that she's kicked out she can do what she wants.

She's going back to the US for good I think. She will complete her studying there and probably stay there.

She's signed to SM, but I don't think they're gonna promote her anyway. It's over.
