Yes, he said in an interview somewhere that he felt he should've done more to help Amy. If anyone can connect to fame and addiction it's him. I think that's one of the reasons Gaga likes him. He doesn't judge her but knows exactly where she's at and how to deal with it.
I mean imagine being 88 and the last man standing. All the others are gone a long time ago but he survived. I can imagine them talking about stuff like that as well. The whole experience has made Tony clean up his act which is why I love the idea of him being a mentor to her.
