Sis electoral votes are always their for a reason, whites have been a majority in the past. Without electoral votes, republicans after the 60's would always have won each presidency and dems after the flip would never have got a taste of that seat. The issue isn't the system, its the people. Dems were divided in extreme and are easily influenced to scatter or never turnout to vote after their leader is soiled by the repubs, while republicans are strong and united even in hate or division, to the point they vote in the same number each election. The landscape has changed and dems are more but we care less when it comes to voting or would rather go for 3rd party candidates and that's when it all falls apart.
The electoral voting system today favors dems more and that's the truth but DEMOCRATS are a mess. Gays, blacks latino, white liberals even flipping and voting republican based on prejudice
