same tbh I saw the party invitation yesterday with the "surprise performance" and felt nothing at all and then went to sleep totally forgetting about reading it. My subconsciousness already knew that Rih won't perform
I think this era impacted us this way. Our excitement is gone cause we've been disappointed way too many times this year

But yeah, it's interesting seeing BBHMM rise up like this. I feel like it got decent/adequate promo but had untapped potential. Is this the pop audience getting into it or something? Because really, when you look at BBHMM the only issues are that 1) Pop REFUSED to play it 2) The video got age-blocked. Tbh she should've made a shorter, "clean" version for VEVO and uploaded the full version to her website. Smh.

But yeah, I'm always confused by people who buy a song super late. Did Ellen suddenly make it acceptable and cute for the GP

Not bad at all. It was just disorganized and the video came out too late, but that gave the song more longevity. And it IS one of her signature songs, it'll be more remembered than some of her Top 10 hits or even some of her #1s. The "bitch better have my money" line alone is iconic.

BBHMM is one of those songs that has never been high in the charts but is still very big.
And I think it is a signature song for the fans. I can already imagine everyone singing along to it at the concert, unlike AO which is gonna be a snooze fest. especially if she performs the March Messness version.
