Yes! 09 was hell lol. The Gaga comparisons started in late 08 after the VMA fiasco and it just continued from there. Not only that... but for whatever reason.. Christina has always, ALWAYS, had a bad stigma with the general public (except maybe B2B era). She doesn't care tho so it doesn't bother me either.. But not only that... I still till this day believe other stan bases were cruel and did not support Christina for the simple fact that she was [and still IS] a major threat to every girl out in music right now. They knew that Christina at her best would shred their faves to pieces. Maybe it's not so noticeable now because Christina has not proven them wrong(with Bionic and Lotus flopping).. but it was so obvious back then.
