Why can't the label force her to hurry up with album?
I can't imagine people from label trying to force Adele of doing something.
But judging form past interviews when she decides something she does it really fast.
I did some research. BMI is for broadcasting, ASCAP is for the writing, etc. So if a song isn't performed or released it's not necessarily going to be on BMI. Skyfall has a higher ASCAP # by far than Devil, so Devil is most likely from 21 era. I'm guessing that's why there are some of the renamed songs on both, to protect copyrights, etc.
Devil on my shoulder does not sound like a girlish song title imo
It can sound like to be a naughty song and yeah the Devil On My Shoulder thing is popping up everywhere now Look at our impact

Rumours are flying that new music from Adele is imminent, as eagle-eyed fans have spotted the singer has registered a mystery song with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
The track, called 'Devil On My Shoulder', lists Greg Wells on the songwriting credits. Wells has previously worked with Adele on her last album, 21, as well as artists including Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Mika.
