Y'all keep talking about Adele winning AOTY. It's not happening. Adele is going to eventually face some sort of backlash within the industry for her overwhelming success, people are going to jump on the 'she's overrated bandwagon', losing her votes. I'm not even sure she'll get nominated even though she deserves to.

Beyoncé didn't win the AOTY because she's Beyoncé. BEYONCÉ was clearly the best album and everyone in that room the night of The Grammys knew full well she had been robbed. It is an album that will go down in history regardless. What shocks me the most is the fact that she didn't win the urban category though. That suggests to me that she wasn't even close to winning AOTY. How could she if she was behind Pharell? My guess is that a lot of people didn't vote Beyoncé as they saw the whole campaign as an attack on the establishment and the traditional way of doing things; they certainly don't like how much power Bey actually has, it makes them uncomfortable. Add to that the fact that it's a very sexually overt album, it never actually stood a chance. I can't imagine a country Grammy voter picking BEYONCÉ, I can't see a rock artist voting BEYONCÉ, I can't see Indie artists voting BEYONCÉ, I can't see many soul artists voting BEYONCÉ.

It's actually clear that she never stood a chance. She'll probably never win AOTY. She might have a chance if she did a soul/Rock kind of album. Something old-school. MIGHT.

She should be. I was looking at the Colplaying.com forum to see how they felt about the song and it seems like people either love it or hate it. They explained that the reason they hate is because rather than sounding like a Coldplay song it sounds like it should be a Beyoncé ft Coldplay song.

It would be absolutely tragic if she doesn't get feature credits and it becomes huge, which I think it will be.

There was no promotion for grammy. Not to mention overall singles.
I won't be suprised columbia was rooting for pharell (Same lable) and had promotion for him.

Exacly. Its been done since 4. She is not playing by the rules. Thats why radio has been shady toward her. However if she do what Justin did and stay away from music for a couple of years. She can do whatever she want and radio will eat her up like crazy. Plus the 7/11 release just like video phone hurt Sasha. For her to win AOTY she have to have huge comercial success, vocals, great single choices.

The thread got closed just when I was about to post. 80% of them acting as if Bey won't reach 40m before most of them. And how can they say no one care about her music, it's just her they care about.. With that logic Kim k should be able to make millions of dollars touring..

The biggest mess of it all is that they're comparing people who has hardly outsold her by 5m with much more releases
