With a massive video, there is no reason that TEOG couldn't have at least matched its peak at #3. Hype around the video would have pushed it on radio, and sustained sales on iTunes. Even if it wouldn't have sent her to #1, she could easily have been at 3M right now with a proper video.

A better video would of helped the sales a lot and maybe it would be at 3 million right now but other than that I just think the competition was far too great

I think we can agree the song derserved to sell more and have a much better video

If it hadn't been for Alejandro, I believe Gaga would've never been compared to Madonna the way she is now, but the way she used to be in the beginning.

I think so too. But all the other songs on TFM are even moreso. They are all great songs, but I think Teeth has the weakest studio version. It has incredible live performances, though.

There's really nothing to doubt. The video for TEOG didn't give the song a boost on iTunes at all. A proper video would have boosted it. We have seen it thousands of times. When LFN's video premiered, it shot into the top 10. TEOG stayed in the same position. It didn't move at all.

The Madonna comparisons escalated after that video, but such is life If anything it helped to push the song a little bit
