She definitely should look to the likes of Boney M and ABBA for inspiration. The infectious catchiness of 70s/80s disco pop is perfect for her.

Going R&B/disco/pop is probably the most commercially viable next move. It'll allow her to get her big pop hits without doing more of the same or something generic. She can totally rock being a disco diva, but not in a Confessions Madonna way. More glam and power pop.
