So me and my mom drove to my brother today (about 30 miles). I showed her my ARTPOP copy. She said - "Oh, Lady! Is this her new cd?" I said yes. Aura started and as the laughs ended my mom was like - "Is it just me or she's getting worse and worse with each album?" I was like

We went through the album, she liked Dope, Gypsy, Applause and Venus. I had my The Fame/The Fame Monster cd as well. The second Bad Romance started playing she was like, "that's what I'm talking about", not to mention she was acutally singing along to Poker Face and we ended our trip with her saying "Yup, she lost it and it seems like she doesn't have any ideas left". It was the worst day ever regarding my family and Lady Gaga.

I said that ARTPOP is by far her best album (and yeah, I really mean it and I'm not ready for your stones) and she should give it a second listen.

A true smash waiting to happen. Her label was dumb as fuck for releasing "Do What U Want" over it. Even my cousins who usually like mainly hip-hop and rap like it.

But omfg at the rest of your story. Sadly, that's how most of the public would react, and tbh most if not all of it is because of problems surrounding her public image. If she was successful + had a consistent memorable image, people would think she's cool again.

Well, she's getting increasingly less "safe pop" as she goes...so it's not surprising that people think she's getting "worse".

Isn't that what everyone's being doing to Born This Way though? Remember how back in July, Born This Way was 'a mess' and 'a flop' and everyones faves weren't ready for ARTPOP?

Born This Way was treated so badly by this fanbase, and it's only now it's getting the recognition it truly deserves

Yeah but the thing is that BTW in REALITY wasn't a flop which in reality bionic and GL were so i'm going according to real flops comparing them to worst flops.

And it's fine by me. I said it a million of times already and I'll say it once more - I actually love ARTPOP. I don't know why, tbh, but I truly enjoy it much more than her other albums.
