Do: Know That Concise is Key!
- No one is here to read your Harry Potter-sized, novel-esque replies. If the thread doesn't call for it, keep it swift and to the point.
Do: Explore the Forum
- When I first joined, I was only interested in messy stan fights & sales. Now, I prefer the Lounge & the Games section & that's where I met most of my ATRL friends.
Do: Dare to be different.
- Just do you, girl. Stan for whoever or whatever you want & **** whoever doesn't like it tbh!
Do: Introduce yourself
- When you first join, ATRL isn't going to use you, to be blunt. It's not you, it's us. We don't know you too well yet. It happened to all of us. Your job is to introduce yourself. The best place to do this is in your respective base's thread or the New Member Orientation thread.You can also visit other threads that suit your interests (Like the WWE or Pokebase). Make new friends!
Do: Be Messy in Moderation
- n, like umich. Know how many points you have & if you throw shade, make sure it's so brilliant that it goes over everyone's heads. Don't go overboard tho.
Do: Be Nice
- Self Explanatory. People love nice people.
Do: Make sure your posts have some type of substance.
- Whether you're smart or funny, just make sure you have something to contribute to threads. Don't be bland.
Do: Use Gifs/pngs/pics appropriately
- If you use a gif, png or whatever it is, know that it should go along with what you've just posted. Don't be a dirrtydiana with those messy unrelated gifs from the damn 80's.
Do: Know the rules.
- If you're not sure if you're about to get a WP for what you're about to do or say, 9 times out of 10, you shouldn't do it. If you're unsure, just check the rules or go into HQ.
DO's
Don't: Take ATRL or Yourself too seriously
- If someone makes a thread like one of those "Who are your Fave members" threads, Don't reply with posts like "ew omg gross you take a forum too seriously". Just know that you're the one taking it too seriously if you care
that much about people saying nice things about others.
Don't: Get Banned
- I think this is self explanatory. You're here to contribute to discussions and kill time. If you're banned all the time, what's the point?
Don't: Get Exposed
- Every once in a while a member gets exposed for
something. Don't put yourself in that position, pls.
Don't: Cosign
- Don't go into a thread with multiple replies and reply with only a period or an exclamation point. That's lazy. At least contribute something meaningful to the thread & add on to what you agree to.
Don't: Be Rude
- Self Explanatory. Don't be mean. No one likes a bully. Keep it cute or keep it mute, hun.
Don't: Post too much at once
- If you post too many threads at once, ATRL is gonna know & you will develop a reputation. And not a cute one.
Don't: Be a Troll
- One of those messy, obvious trolls. There's a difference between shade & Trolling. Know it.
Don't: Go into battle without ammo
- If you don't know what you're talking about, don't talk about it. Know the receipts. ATRL can tell if you're talking out of your ass & they will use it against you in the future. You will Get dragged, I guarantee it.
