I preferred Phillip to Jessica by the end, but if I'd had my way it would've been Phillip in third with a Skylar + Joshua finale, so I'm not jumping for joy. His crying was cute though.
In season 8, they used the save on the top 7 week and Jennifer Hudson was the guest performer. Fast forward to season 11, it happened again!
In season 9, Michael Lynche was saved during the top 9 week and stayed until the top 4, that's 5 spots higher. In season 10, Casey Abrams was saved in the top 11 week and reached top 6, 5 spots higher as well. If this trend continues, Jessica could leap 5 spots and reach the top 2!
She did climb 5 spots after the save and stayed at #2!
