She wants to try country, I'd say let her. I don't want her making some half-assed country pop thing, leave that to queen Swift.
Pop, no. There are 458435485 people doing that. I mean:
Icons? Britney.
Catchy? Carly Rae Jepsen/Rebecca Black
Teen idols? 1D/Bieber (even though he's more R&B)
etc....
She needs to be unique. Pop/rock is her best effort tbh, and also produced her best album. I don't have to say what it's called.

well there are also thousands of country artists in the US, and it sounds all the same. And she'd flop worldwide, too.
She wants to go mainstream, i'm sure, so for me the perfect solution would be a Pop/Rock mix with dance-thouched singles.
Basically a HWGA with a bit more pop.

A mix of HWGA (album) and GYHAB/Unbroken/Fix a Heart type of songs would be perfect for me

yes pretty much!
Pop/Rock with some catchy stuff and ballads. Pretty much like Kelly's last album, or something similar to that!

Yeah, she has no standing power in country. And she'd flop IN the US too, the country stans aren't here for a pop/R&B convertee. The opposite, yeah (Lady A, Taylor) but she's not gonna pull a Darius Rucker (went from rock to country, and he's African-American too - completely 'anti-country' lol) and sell with that.
I wouldn't mind if she went pop/rock at all (in fact, it's her best suit) and if she'd throw some punk (well, we're talking new stuff so...) in there it would make it all better. Anything to sway away from pure pop.

As much as I love Punk Rock (I stan for Rise Against, so... ) and I think Demi would do great singing that, I think she couldn't make full use of her amazing vocals singing Punk Rock...

If she goes Rock then she should do Kelly Clarkson-ish Pop/Rock songs
or songs like Cryin' by Aerosmith

Well, Demi is amazing at vocals, but I don't want her to start being a Christina wannabee. She needs to have her own style and make it work. Right now, it seems she's trying various genres to see what fits. R&B is not her best suit, unless she wants to strip the pop from it (as in: more songs like MLILAS, FAH, Lightweight - get rid of Unbroken (song), all the collabs, Hold Up, Mistake, no no no).

But I think in songs like those in HWGA she can also show her vocals really good...
But come to think of it, in Punk Rock possibly as well... I don't know

If it's true I'd be shocked, but I doubt it's true.
