Macklemore isn't going anywhere on iTunes for a while yet. The only person I think that will be able to take him down anytime soon is Bruno, and that's only if his video for WIWYM has an extremely positive impact on sales. it's really impressive though. After next week, will be the first time we've gone ten weeks without a female voice on top since "Low" dominated in 2008 for ten weeks alone, immediately followed up with Usher and Young Jeezy's "Love In This Club."
And with his streaming strength, I can see him topping for a while past that, so we may not have a pop girl on top for a while yet. Heck, I wouldn't be too surprised if none of them went to number one this year. The only ones I could see doing it are Rihanna and Katy.
The meltdowns if "Daylight" slayed at number one for multiple weeks a la OMN.
