Taylor is iconic. The amount of people (females and males, young and old) that are inspired to pick up a guitar and write their feelings into a song. Obviously, this has been around since the beginning of music, but Taylor made it cool, and her chart topping solo writes are proof of that. Plus being one of the biggest artist in the world all while not selling sex will be remembered. I honestly can't wait for 20 years from now when she is looked at as one of the most influential artist, because she WILL be, and I'm willing to put money on it. Sure, Dolly, Patsy, and Shania paved a road for Taylor, but Taylor herself made country music (nowadays) cool, writing your own songs and playing the guitar a must in country music. My father in law actually works in the entertainment industry and he told me that if you don't write your songs and play an instrument(especially if you're a female) you're looked over, because there has to be someone who can compete with Taylor Swift. So basically, Taylor made songwriting and playing an instrument a standard in the country community
