Some music info:

- Needs to record 1 more song for the Christmas album. A trio with Reba & Trisha Yearwood.
- Wrote on 4-5 songs for the Christmas album. Still working on the tracklist, so unsure how many will make the album.
- Some songs on Christmas have a big band vibe.
- Has thought about doing a covers album. Smoakstack EPs kinda were that. Said maybe put the fan requests together some day.
- Next studio album is real urban, pop rock, dance, country, singer-songwriter. Said hardest part of making an album is making it cohesive, since she loves so many different genres.
- Last song she listened to was a demo sent to her, she just sent it to a producer to see if he liked it to produce it.
- Country isn't a genre "change" more like a genre "add"

MARRIED WITH HITS: Kelly Clarkson doesn’t have the wedding bell blues, thanks to the second-week success of her new nuptially-themed single, “Tie It Up.” As reported here, the song debuted on just one chart last week, entering Country Airplay at No. 52. This week, “Tie” rises to No. 49.

At the same time, “Tie” blasts on to four other Billboard charts. Most impressive is its bow at No. 18 on Country Digital Songs. The single is also new on Hot Digital Songs, at No. 63. On Hot Country Songs, “Tie” enters at No. 33 and on the Canadian Hot 100, the single is new at No. 79.

Eh. I'm not even really excited. She always does this with her vague descriptions of her albums and then it always changes so much. She's going to come out with Stronger 2.0, I can feel it. I want soul and things that really showcase her vocals. Not glossed over pop/rock songs like IFY and LMD that she needs to just stop with. I need this album to be a serious departure and something different from her. I've said it before and I'll say it again but I'm sick of her material being lackluster sounding in comparison to the songs she covers.

If this new album is Stronger 2.0, I will blame RCA and not Kelly. We've listened to her demos and some of them are really amazing. It's RCA's final word on what goes on the album. I believe when her contract is over, we will start to get the raw, soulful Kelly we all love tbh.

I really don't care about genres anymore because it's honestly just pop-rock with studio Kelly. I just hope the album's entirety has a happy, feel-good sound to it, including ( and hopefully) slow love ballads. Everyone's expecting the theme change.

This is gonna be intersting. Although I don't really get the "singer-songwriter" part. Can someone explain? It's like songs written by the Queen? Or something like songs on MD (Maybe, Sober)?

Honestly, I don't mind Stronger 2.0. It's in my Kelly album trinity. If it will contain some lives-slaying songs like Honestly, LMD, Alone, YLM, DS, if it will sell 1(0)m+ and will get another Grammy, than I will be perfectly happy. I wouldn't mind AIEW part 2.0 if it will be more personal, I don't really like the album, the most of the songs sound dishonest to me, like if RCA said "record this and that and we will make an album". But I definitely don't mind different genres if it works all together like on Stronger.
