Welcome jury to the Final Interviews as well as the Final Vote of this season, this time determining a winner. The following three posts will be of each finalists' interview. After you read through those (or don't ), the voting period will start where all nine jury members will vote for a winner based off who they think played the best game whether it be strategical, score-wise, etc. Whoever receives the most votes of the 9 will be crowned the winner of this season of Survivor: ATRL Edition.
We will start our interviews off with Yvess on the next post. You should all probably at least look at these since they took the time to answer all these questions. It may even change your mind about who you vote for based off how they each explain themselves.
Yvess | Superiore | DOMINO

Stay tuned. - Dylan

Hello Yvess. It's been a long journey, but here you stand with Superiore & DOMINO only one vote away from winning this game. But before you can get crowned the fourth winner of Survivor: ATRL Edition, there are a series of questions for you to answer giving you one last shot to prove why you deserve this title.
Hi Dylan! Hi judges, jury and viewers, I am more than ready to answer everyone's questions! Let's do it!
Did you have a strategy coming in here or no? What were your initial thoughts?
Honestly, I don't have a strategy when I signed up here. I would like to describe my involvement in this game as a very "beautiful accident". I was only lurking some threads on ATRL until I tried checking the Games Section and the first thing I saw was the signups for this game. I joined because I'm a fan of Survivor tv show and I am quite curious on how it works. My initial thoughts was I will just join this game to check if the game is fun and to also know if ATRL is really for me because I don't really log on to ATRL that much. My initial goal is that I should be able enjoy the game by just being myself even if I dont get to stay longer in the game.
After you got the whole gist of the game, where did you see yourself placing?
I really don't expected myself to place this far to be honest.
Actually when I saw the first challenge, I really thought I'll be the first one eliminated but luckily, we won the first challenge and I gained friends from my tribe and since then, we helped each other on the game by giving critiques to our own entries and of course, give each other moral support. But later on, our tribe got into consecutive tribal councils so I felt that reaching the Top 12 will be hard. I only told myself that I can reach the merge when I got into the semi-merge. Reaching the merge is a huge achievement for an irrelevant one like me tbh.
Who did you expect to see in The Top 3 in your honest opinion? Why?
I firmly believe that the majority of the castaways in this season are really strong and deserving to be part of the top 3. I'll be giving four names since two of them have a really identical gameplay. I honestly thought Remmy, Gotintoririfever1, and Truth Teller/Amaloner as the frontrunners for the much-coveted Top 3. They have an exquisite gameplay, popularity and everyone seemed to like them.
How have you enjoyed being part of this Tournament? Anything special?
There's no doubt that I really enjoyed this game because I am a fan of the Survivor TV show and I absolutely love music so being able to see how those two different elements blended well and complimented each other through different rounds made it a very wonderful and joyful treat for me.
To be honest, This tournament is VERY special to me and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Survivor ATRL Edition Season 4 paved the way for me to appreciate the beauty of ATRL. Before, I only find ATRL as a site who only capitalizes on drama and fights about pop girls but through this tournament, I have found a safe haven where stan wars are on cease fire mode. I'm not trying to be cheesy but if I did not joined this tournament, then I'll forever remain as an invisible ATRL member who only lurks on threads of my faves. This tournament opened the doors for me to join Album Survivors, Musical Chairs, Other tournaments and even write blogs. The impact of this tournament on me is so huge, I met new friends and cool people here and I'll be forever grateful to everyone who took their time to give someone like me a chance to come out from my shell, Now, I can say that I am confident to join any games, post on other threads and get to meet different people on ATRL.
Thank you SURVIVOR!
Based on your actions alone, why should you win this game?
Such a tough question. I firmly believe that I am deserving to win this game because I was able to follow and go with the flow to the main core of this game (social skills + excelling on challenges). I always make it a point to exert extra effort on my entries and submit them on time in which benefited me a lot for I was able to snatch 5 immunity wins (2 from Preliminary Rounds, 1 from the Semi-Merge Rounds and 2 from the Individual Challenges on the Merge). Aside from the immunity wins, I also remained loyal to my alliance. I made sure that I get to protect the members of my alliance and treated them like my little siblings. I did not hide anything from them by being transparent to them and motivate them to do our best on every rounds.
I reached the Top 3 without blindsiding everyone.
I reached the Top 3 by giving my all on every given challenge.
I reached the Top 3 by not giving up on my alliance no matter how many issues are being thrown at us.
I reached the finale by staying true to myself and most especially, I enjoyed my time in the island which was my goal from the moment I signed up on this game.
Why shouldn't your two opponents win this game?
I do believe that me, domino and superiore truly deserved our respective places in the Top 3 so this is a hard question to answer. But I will do my best to explain why they should not win this tournament by simply comparing myself to them using the two main proponents of this game which are Game Scores and Social Skills.
Game Scores, According to our overall standings from the very first rounds to the semi-merge to the merge and up to the finale, Its evident that my score is higher than them. I get to be a consistent name on the upper half of the charts and even ranked number one on some rounds. Modesty aside, I think I have more immunity wins compared to them as well.
Social Skills, I know that DOMINO and Superiore are more known on the Games Section compared to me when I signed up here but what made me believe that I have an edge over them on Social Skills was due to the fact that I was able to also gain friends and leave a nice relationship to majority of the players of this season and other past seasons. I will be delusional if I say that I'm more popular than them because that's not the truth, I may be a newbie and irrelevant here but I did my best to form alliances and build friendships in and out of this game.
Lastly, I am proud to say that I played the game fair and square to the best of my ability.
Who do you think you will have the hardest time competing with in the vote?
I think it's going to be Superiore. Superiore brought in some good humor on this game.
If you do not win this competition, who should & why?
They are both adorable and deserving so I will just go with the one who I can see that possesses a greater gameplay compared to the other. And that's DOMINO, for the reason that Domino's gameplay is a bit better to Superiore's.
Is there anyone in the Top 3 who you feel should not be here? If so, who should be in their place?
I believe that the three of us deserved to be in the Top 3. It is simply because we were able to outlast, outwit and outplay other stronger players in this game. We were able to adapt to the game's core and followed every simple thing that the game asks for us to do.
There are strong players in this game for sure but excelling on challenges is not an assurance of being safe all the time, you also need to step up your social skills on the alliance that you got and I believe that the three of us have been able to do those gracefully.
This Tournament is called Survivor for a reason. What is your definition of a true Survivor?
My definition of a true survivor would be a person who remained true to himself and to the people around him all throughout the game. Someone who showed his versatility and determination to survive every challenge that they face. Someone who defied odds against all odds and can proudly say that he have survived and won the game without stepping on anyone since he made sure his dignity and principles are still properly intact.
Take us through your alliances this season. From day one to now who have you been aligned with and how has it changed throughout the course of this game?
My alliance started with my first tribe Brilando with Ivory, Prezli, Bloomers and DOMINO. They are the people who I was able to share my thoughts with our entries through our tribal blog. We all get along and we also knew that we might get shuffled to other teams so we kept a promise that if ever we get to see each other again on the final merge (TOP 12), we will still be allies.
When I got transferred to Bonbondi in the Semi-Merge phase, It was only me, prezli and Ivory, We have found a new ally on Gotintoririfever1. I have an understanding with Gabegabe but it did not materialize as he found a different alliance. We did not get to recruit Speezy and Amaloner to join our alliance, We tried getting them but we fully understand that they already have an alliance. So when Ivory got the boot, we knew that we will be the next targets and we already accepted our fate. Fortunately, We still managed not to give it up and it paid off since we got into the Top 12 by winning 3 consecutive rounds (the power of teamwork) and it won't be possible without Holyground, Speezy, Amaloner and Gabegabe's awesome entries. We might not be on the same alliances but we all deserve the credit for the semi-merged Bonbondi's slayage.
When we reached the Top 12, I got to talk to DOMINO once again and we shared who were our alliances during the semi-merge. Fortunately, Remmy and Superiore joined us making it a 6-man alliance (me, DOMINO, Superiore, Gotinto, Prezli and Remmy). I pledged my loyalty to our alliance. We did not have any bad blood with the other alliance so it's kinda hard to vote them off at first but we all know that they will also come after us if they have the upper hand. So technically, Me and my alliance did our best to win the immunity but Holyground, Amaloner and Truth teller are very strong and me and some of my allies always came 2nd or 3rd behind them. Eventually, we were able to eliminate them one by one but Truth Teller kinda made it hard for us to get the immunity as he blocked us from the wins with his flawless entries. Our prayers were answered when I finally got to defeat Truth Teller on the Emoji round. My immunity win is also a win for our alliance. Sadly, Gotinto got eliminated that round too since he had the lowest score that round. Prezli got eliminated next. I swear it did break my heart to see them go.
We don't have anything against the eliminated castaways, it just happens that we remained loyal to our alliance which led us now to our place in the Top 3.
Did you betray any allies you had during the season? If so who & why?
Honestly speaking, I didn't betrayed any of my allies. I know that Survivor is known for blindsides and deception but believe it or not, I am somehow surprised and proud at the same time that I was able to reach the finale without backstabbing anyone, creating a story or luring any people to vote for someone else to keep my ass safe. Im not saying that those I mentioned was bad because I know that those were normal practices in the world of Survivor. I just did not get to use those tactics surprisingly.
There are some instances that I cannot control which led to some of my allies elimination such as:
Bloomers got the boot as he voted for his self too since he somehow felt guilty for our tribe going to tribal council, I can still remember trying to convince him to change his vote but it was too late.
FunkyDinevo got the boot coz I remained loyal to Prezli, Ivory and DOMINO(my first allies), It was a hard decision to make since we are only 5 left on the original brilando tribe. There's no formal agreement between me and funky being in an alliance tbh so I honestly think that I did not betrayed her.
Remmy quitted the game so I did not betray him too. (him quitting made me sad too coz I know he's a very good player)
I never voted out Gotintoririfever1 as he only got the boot by placing last on the Emoji Round. God knows how devastated I am when he got the boot.
I only wrote Superiore's name last tribal council and I let him know that through a private message. We all know that he is going to be safe even if there'll be a tie. So I did not betray him technically.
I did not vote off Prezli last night, because I just can't vote out my little sis and she also stepped up her game as evidenced by the last round's score she got. I even got the most emotional pm exchanges from Prezli since we all know what is in store for her in the Tribal Council.
So that's it, I am proud to say that I did not betrayed or blindsided my allies.
It is a good feeling that you got into the finale knowing that you have played a clean and fair game.
Do you have any regrets in the competition that you feel could hurt you in the vote?
I believe that we should not regret the decisions we made from the past because we all know it led us to that decision because it is necessary and would benefit us. Looking back at my Survivor Journey, I can honestly say that I have no regrets. How can I regret making friends with most of the people in this game. I did not regret my submitted entries (excellent or not) since I know that I gave it my all and it taught me a lot as I grow in this game. I won't regret my votesp on the Tribal Council (most especially on the Top 12 merge) since we all know that the strongest alliance in numbers get to have the control of the game, so my alliance voting off Gabegabe, Amaloner, Holyground, Speezy, Truth Teller is all part of the game and it's a normal thing since they have an alliance of their own. BeyRihStan got banned as well so that weakened their alliance too.
I'm shocked when she got banned tbh.
If there's only one regret that I have, then that would be not being able to be close to other tribe members that got eliminated at the preliminary rounds from Brilando, Adranaha and Bonbondi.
There's two general types of players in this game; those who play a social game & those who get here by their scores throughout the game. If you had to choose which one you are, which would it be & why?
I know it's kinda cliche-ish to say that I'm a mixture between someone who played a social game & someone who got far by their good scores throughout the game. I can humbly say that I'm a mix of those traits since I played a social game as evidenced by me being able to make friends in the game which made it easier for me to have a stable alliance, I was also able to stay longer due to my immunity wins from the past. And I am here in the final 3 due to my 2 consecutive individual immunity wins which sealed my spot for the finale. I technically tasted the best of both worlds.
But if I really have to choose only one, I would choose to be that someone who got really far by his good scores all throughout the game. It is because I was able to prove to everyone that I have what it takes to send in entries that can actually stand out. I know that if I did not win and get the immunity for the last two rounds then there's a possibility that I'll be the one to go home since I may be considered as the next big threat out of the remaining castaways.
So I rightfully won immunities just in time when I needed it the most.
There are three types of Top 3 players. There's the threat. There's the underdog. And there's the third wheel. Using all 3 types, assign yourself and your opponents to each title and explain why.
This is so hard to be honest.
Yvess (Me) - Underdog
I know I won mostly of the challenges compared to them but I can still say that I am the underdog between the three of us.
Why?
Because I'm relatively a newbie to the games section compared to DOMINO and Superiore when I joined this tournament. I don't know how an ATRL GAME works and I don't also know the musical taste of the judges since I don't know them at all when I joined. I also needed to learn how to use atrl slang and emoticons and formatting for me to understand everyone involved in this game. It's also a struggle for me to find an alliance at first since I don't really know who are friends with who, who's connected with who. So technically, I started from scratch.
Domino - The Threat
DOMINO is the threat because I knew that he won iconic atrl tournaments like (Atrl's NEXT TOP MEMBER) so I felt that he is extremely popular on ATRL. Plus, his entries are also good and beneficial to our tribe as well.
Superiore - Third Wheel
SUPERIORE is the third wheel. I am sorry bae. The reason why I labeled him the third wheel was due to the reason that I did not get to work with Superiore as a tribe member during the preliminaries up to the semi-merge phase. We only got to work with each other when we reached the Top 12 and be in the same alliance. I chose him as the third wheel also because I find DOMINO's gameplay stronger compared to Superiore's.
Anything else you would like to say before we move on to my personal questions for you?
I guess I already aired my point of views on why should I win this game so I would like to use this this opportunity to thank everyone that's involved in this game. As you all know, This game is very special to me since it is my first game ever.
I wanna thank this people:
Dillon, Thank you for letting me join your game. I love how you hosted this game and you got me hooked to the games section because of your game. Such a king!
Ethan, Anna and Nicole, I honestly get scared to see all of your comments on my work because I dunno if you can appreciate my efforts. Fortunately, you guys have been so good to me and I love how you make your critiques sound constructive.
GabeGabe , You are such a funny man. I don't mind receiving pms from you again. I know you are not that messy.
BeyRihStan, Im sorry that we were not given a chance to get to know each other. I hope we can still get to know each other soon.
Amaloner, You are a strong player! I love your taste tbh.
Speezy, Being able to share the island with you is an honor. Jordin deserves success on her comeback.
Holyground, Im sad we did not get to be allies but im happy now that we are friends.
TruthTeller - Your slayage in this game is undeniable. Me being able to defeat you once is a big honor for me.
Remmy - I wished you did not quit but I understand where your coming from.
Gotintoririfever, You are the winner that got away. thanks for giving me a chance to be friends with you.
Prezli,My lil sister! Promise me you will join all stars and try to win it ok? I love our convos about our entries.
Superiore,Thank you for always appreciating my entries. I really like your humor and your taste in horror genres. Being in the top 3 with you is fun! Goodluck to us
Domino,My another sister. i am happy to share the top 3 with you too since I know how you love this game too. Good luck to us!
Bloomers/Ivory, I love you guys! Thanks for being a good friend to me. Thanks for the support.
To everyone who was part of this game, Thank you too because you made my Survivor Journey even more colorful. Special thanks to Element and Celebrate as they added spice and humor to this season too.

Being able to be part of this wonderful game is very a wonderful ATRL memory I will forever cherish. Win or Lose, This game will never be forgotten by my heart. Thank you once again

2. Do you think you'd be able to make it on a real season of Survivor?

What Avril song would define your experience here and why?
Hi Dylan! Thanks for asking an Avril question, I'm so touched as an Avril Stan. My Survivor ATRL Edition experience can be defined by an Avril Classic entitled "Keep Holding On." Why?
Because that song is about not giving up to any struggles that you are encountering in life and that's synonymous to my wonderful journey in your game.
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
I can relate that song to Survivor because this game requires strong determination to win the challenges and lasting social relationships with your alliance.
You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
The song is also about trust, Trusting one another for you will be able to get through any obstacles, In this game, we are encouraged to put our trust to people who we think can help us get through every tribal council.
Nothing's gonna change, nothing's gonna change destiny
Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly
This song also makes you believe in the power of destiny. I believe that my involvement in this game, me being able to reach this far and if I could also win the title is all because it is destined. Of course, If I'm destined to win this game, I also hope that people will get to see I'm deserving because I fought hard as well to be hailed as the Survivor of this Season.
I will fight and defend
I'll fight and defend
"Keep Holding On" is a perfect song for my Survivor Experience because this song has a "warrior/fighter" vibe and in this game, I learned how to fight with all my heart and defend my alliance and my safety to the best of my ability.
Do you think you'd be able to make it on a real season of Survivor?
This game taught me how to stick to your goals and be loyal to your alliance so I can say that I'll be able to make it on a Real Season of Survivor as well. This game gave me that fire and sheer determination to eye any challenge that's been given to me. So why not join a real season of Survivor.
Thank you!

Speezy asks:
TO ALL 3 : Did you listen to #ByeFelicia?
To All 3: One thing you regret doing in the game?
to Yvess : Hi! Who do you think was the biggest threat in the game
to Yvess: Hey again Who was the person you trusted the most
To Yvess: Did you enjoy your first time playing?
|
Hi Speezy! Yes, I have listened to #BuyFelicia and It Ain't You slayed my soul!
One thing I do regret in the game would be not being able to be friends with the eliminated castaways from the preliminary rounds most especially from Bonbondi and Adranaha. I just felt that I can establish friendship with them but it's just that they unfortunately got eliminated early. But hey, It's not too late to reach out to them.
There's a lot of huge threats here but if you only need me to name one then, The Biggest Threat in this game would be Truth Teller.
Truth Teller sends in stellar entries and it's hard to steal the immunity from him. he got a squeaky clean reputation in this site. He also got the immunity idol so I can truly say that he's the biggest threat in this game.
The person I trusted the most in the game would be Prezli. I trusted a lot of people here but I chose Prezli because we are techinically together from the preliminary rounds to the semi-merge up to the merge. We got each other's back and I am happy that she trusted me the way that I trusted her too. I owe where I am right now to her and to the other members of my alliance (DOMINO, Superiore, Gotintoririfever1, Remmy, Ivory & Bloomers)
I did enjoyed my first time playing this game. I'm proud to say that it's my first game ever, Because I've met a lot of cool people here like y'all(from the castaways up to the panel), I also get to hone my skills in formatting and doing some artworks through this game, I have been able to discover and rediscover awesome songs and artists with the help of this game. This game is addictive and I can see why you and some others still joins this game because it is an awesome game.
Thank you!

QUESTIONS FOR ALL THE FINALIST
1. Did you buy Two Eleven on iTunes?
2. Who would you put in place of another finalist? (Aka did anyone deserve to be here more than any finalists?)
|
Hi Bey_Rih! Yes I bought Two Eleven on iTunes and I also asked my straight gym buddies to download it when it got released.
I fully believe that me and DOMINO deserved our spots in the final three because we were able to adapt to the flow of the game. We were able to outwit, outlast and outplay with the help of our efforts in our entries and strong alliance too. So I am proud ot say that we are all deserving of our place in the Top three.
Thank you!

prezli asks:
To Yvess: You said several times that Survivor was your first game. What did you expect from the game? Do you have any advices to the newbies?
|
Hi Prezli! Survivor is my first game and what I have expected from this game is only two things: FUN and STRESS. Since I don't know how this game works at first, I anticipated that some tasks would be stressful and of course, voting someone out of the game though they are very nice to me is really stressful, right? I also expected the game to be fun because I can see how some of the former players, judges and atrl members regard this game as one of the most fun and iconic games on ATRL, And this game proved to be fun. I am very happy that I have signed up on this game. It is worth the risk to be honest.
My advice to the newbies who are following this game and is thinking of joining the game's future seasons would be, Just to be yourself and make sure you make friends while you're on the game. Have fun as much as you can because this game gives you that privilege, some rounds were hard to do or to even imagine but believe me that if you're having fun, doing those challenges would be easier to do. I won't be able to stick around for almost four months in this game if I did not enjoy every challenges. Make friends as well because I know that some newbies really had an impression that most of the atrl members are only looking for fights or stan wars, If you give this game a chance for you to be open and be friendly, then you will be having tons of friends not only in this game but also on the whole Games Section. One thing that I will forever treasure is the friends that I have gained from Survivor. Don't think about how long you will be able to stay in the island, Just seize the moment, have fun and be friendly because in that you will not go wrong.
Thank you!

Element asks:
1. What is your best, strategic move in the competition?
2. What is a life lesson that you have learned from this experience?
3. Compare each jury member and finalist (including yourself) to a pop girl, and explain why you make that comparison. This is an analysis of your social perception of other people.
|
Hi Element!
My best strategic move in this competition is that I was able to form alliance with members who are really loyal and have strong will to stay in the game. Even if you are a player who always give excellent entries each round, that's not an assurance you can go far because you might be perceived as a threat. That's why you need to pick and form an alliance that you know will be able to take you to the end. And that's what I believe I was able to do, I am very grateful that I have a strong alliance and I'm proud to say that we did not even had fights or disagreements during the game's run.
A life lesson that I've learned from this game that I won't ever forget is that no such thing is difficult if you are having fun. Before joining this game, I always find some things to be hard and I ended up not even doing or finishing it. I regret being like that because I felt I have closed some doors of opportunity in my life due to that negative trait. But this game taught me how to take any challenge as a fun thing to do. I was able to apply that in real life because now I was able to be more productive. I always make it a point to perceive any tasks that's given to me as a fun learning experience.
It's tough to represent the jury with the Pop Girls
(So, please forgive me if it happens that you don't like the girl I represented for you)
Now, let me explain why we got represented by those pop girls.
Gabegabe / Nicki Minaj - Gabegabe is a very fun character of the game. Whether you like it or not, he made me laugh so hard with some of his posts on the thread. I really find Nicki minaj a very funny pop girl and I'm amused with her antics on her video, etc.
Bey_Rihstan / Lady Gaga - BeyRih is a big threat on the first rounds of the game but there's an unfortunate incident that happened to her while on the game (She got banned) which made her stay on the game cut short. Lady Gaga slayed 2009-2011 but she faded a bit and lost her spark. However, I also believe that BeyRih and Gaga is sure to be back soon to slay everyone.
Amaloner / Adele - Amaloner from start of the game til his last round on the merge proved how strong he is in the game. Just like Adele who ruined careers, Amaloner is a force to reckon with in this game.
Speezy / Madonna - I really have a high respect towards Speezy in this game maybe because I knew that he placed 4th last season and that made me think that he knows a lot in the game. Madonna is the pop girl with most experiences just like Speezy.
Remmy / Katy Perry - Remmy had the charisma, string of wins and staying power in the game. Just like Katy who had the general public on her hands with her charm. She is a hitmaker too and one of the strongest pop girls of today. Remmy resembles Katy in this island.
Holyground / Taylor Swift - Holyground is a sweet guy and in the game, he slays us too. Taylor Swift had this sweet image and it is no doubt that she delivers well to the public with her hits. Holyground wowed us too with his entries. they are truly similar.
Truth Teller / Xtina - Truth teller is a very strong player in the game. He showed everyone that he is a true fighter just like his fave who I beliee has one of the strongest voice in the world. Both legends tbh.
Gotintoririfever1 / RIhanna - Gotinto is a really funny yet intriguing person that I've ever known in this site. Just like Rihanna, They both have moments that made me laugh (Rih's funny gifs and Gotinto's funny comments/rates) so I really believe that they are a perfect match.
Prezli / Charli XCX - Prezli and Charli is similar because they are both one of the breakout stars on their respective places. Prezli is a breakout star on the games section while Charli showed promise recently. They are both promising and I can't wait for them to surprise me more this year.
DOMINO / Beyonce - They are both classy and fierce, Domino strikes me as a calm person that is ready to whip anyone who gets to have a clash with him. Bey also gave me that impression. They can look so composed but they are also ready to bite. I both love them.
Superiore / Britney Spears - Superiore is the another member who made me laugh in this game. I like to compare him with britney because I also find britney funny on her candid interviews/appearances.
Me (Yvess / Ariana Grande - for a change, I didn't use Avril Lavigne this time. I want to compare myself to Ariana because we both appeared on 2013. Ariana fully entered the music scene on 2013 while I got registered on ATRL last 2013 too. Ariana had a string of hits on 2014, I was able to be active on ATRL by 2014 too. I just wanna believe that though we entered the music scene/atrl on 2013, it took us 2014 before we became to fully get the attention from the music industry/atrl. I also believe that 2014 is Ariana's year, Better than 2014. 2014 is my year on atrl too as it marked the start of my love for this site.
Thank you!
Thanks for sitting down with me, Yvess. Good luck in the vote!
Thank you Dillon, Thanks everyone from the panel to the jury up to the viewers. I love you all!

Superiore

Hello Superiore. It's been a long journey, but here you stand with Yvess & DOMINO only one vote away from winning this game. But before you can get crowned the fourth winner of Survivor: ATRL Edition, there are a series of questions for you to answer giving you one last shot to prove why you deserve this title.
Hey, Dylan! It's great to finally meet you after having heard your voice only for the past months on the island.
This is honestly so exciting. If you asked me a few months ago, I would've never thought to be standing here. Especially together with two other contestants I love so much!
Did you have a strategy coming in here or no? What were your initial thoughts?
This has been the first game I have partaken in on ATRL ever so I was, and I still am, sorta, totally unaware of the ways to get through this other than submitting good entries, at first. Surely, the more I got acquainted with the game the more I've been able to form alliances too but, at first, I was only thinking that this would've been a fun opportunity to take, with no complex thoughts behind, and I still need to thank you Anna for having proposed me to sign up when the Season started.
After you got the whole gist of the game, where did you see yourself placing?
To get the WHOLE gist of the game, I guess it took me months. Maybe when I was already in the Top 12. I started to understand the dynamics after the first few challenges, though, and after I warmed up I still couldn't see me surviving anyone in my same own first tribe (shout-out to my Adrahana's companions!). I thought my entries were subpar in comparison to other contestants who had popularity on their side, fancy graphics skill or that I thought were just better than me. After all, I've only won one challenge, if I remember correctly, while I was always in the middle or near the bottom of the ranking in the rest of the episodes. So, to answer your question, I saw a pre-merge placement for myself, at best
Who did you expect to see in The Top 3 in your honest opinion? Why?
Remmy is the first person that comes to mind. When I saw he was participating, I was sure he would've been a tough competitor as he's kind of a games section legend and so I thought of him as a probable finalist. I'm still sure he could've been here if he didn't quit. That still surprises me! I would've bet on Truth Teller too and he went really close, effectively. He's one of the smartest members that I know on the site and he has a broad musical knowledge and, knowing all this, it wasn't a shock to see him nail challenge after challenge. He's been a true Survivor, especially towards the end when he was left without an alliance but kept showing his strength winning a few immunities back to back. My final choice would've been one of the actual finalists: DOMINO. He's smart, confident, popular and he had all of the cards to make it this far. He already won a few games and he hosts one of the biggest ones too so all of his knowledge about it was a strong point on his side and the fact that he's able to pair flawless entries with flawless graphics and layout gave him another extra edge.
How have you enjoyed being part of this Tournament? Anything special?
This has been the first participation in an ATRL game for me. I was a contestant on LesATRLers too but that actually started after this game and I got eliminated before this ended, so, yea.. Returning back to the main point, I got to know how fun this is almost accidentally, through a link in a wall post, and I decided to give it a try. Thank God, I did because this has been an amazing experience. When I look back to the past challenges, I'm proud of the work I put in them with all the pressure and meltdowns included. The way they made me push my boundaries is something I'll always be thankful for. The greatest experience, though, he's been the social activity. I loved to post in the thread and I'm glad I did cause I got to know better, or just got to know, some amazing members which I hadn't the opportunity to bond with before.
Based on your actions alone, why should you win this game?
I feel like I'm not seen as a top player but I'm sure I demonstrated how dedicated I've been to the game all through it. I gave my best and I certainly could've done more sometimes but I always tried to show that I cared. The victory would be your way of making me know that what I did has been appreciated, the cherry on top of an already amazing experience.
Why shouldn't your two opponents win this game?
Why shouldn't they? I honestly think they are really strong and that each one of us has an equal chance of winning so I can't think of anything wrong with Yvess and DOMINO.
Who do you think you will have the hardest time competing with in the vote?
I don't know. Probably DOMINO, cause he's more known, but, again, I see it as a really close race.
If you do not win this competition, who should & why?
If I'm not the one, I'd like DOMINO to come on top of this. We started this together and, having a close friendship outside of this forum too, it's been like experiencing this game together exchanging our thoughts, opinions and suggestions all the time. I'd love Yvess to win too but, for personal reasons, DOMINO's victory would make me the happiest.
Is there anyone in the Top 3 who you feel should not be here? If so, who should be in their place?
In a previous question, I said I predicted Remmy and Truth Teller to be here but, now, I can't see a better Top 3 than this. Everyone fits and earned his place thanks to his own merits so I don't think there's anyone who doesn't belong.
This Tournament is called Survivor for a reason. What is your definition of a true Survivor?
All the finalists are true Survivor. We went through a number of challenges, each one of us gave his all, we passed all the tribal councils, we've been able to form successful alliances, we made a name for ourselves in the game and all of this made us survive all the obstacles and more than 20 other contestants all the way until this finale.
Take us through your alliances this season. From day one to now who have you been aligned with and how has it changed throughout the course of this game?
Before the merge, maybe because I still had to get warmed up on the game, maybe becuase I haven't had the chance too, I didn't have a definite alliance. Of course, I made sure to talk with the members of my tribes and exchange opinions and, of course, I have had a strongest bond with some of them but the real alliance only came to light when the merge took over. That was made from me, DOMINO, Yvess, prezli, gotintoriri and Remmy. Being half of the remaining contestants, it's been easy for us to have the majority on tribal councils, especially because the other half didn't seem to be quite together as we were. The only obstacles have been the times our "enemies" achieved the immunity (hey, Mich!) but now I can certainly say that this has been a greatly successful alliance. Doesn't look like it?
Did you betray any allies you had during the season? If so who & why?
No, I didn't even think about it. Some people tried to trick me but I think that to make an alliance successful you have to show your allies how trustworthy you are and also demonstrate that. I don't think a betrayal can ever work in anyone's favor because, at the end of the day, it gets discovered and brings you trouble.
Do you have any regrets in the competition that you feel could hurt you in the vote?
Not that I can think about it. I've always been honest and transparent in the game. The only thing that could hurt me is the fact I have the worst average out of us three but, as I said before, I did the best I could so I'm more than happy with that. I can only pray!
There's two general types of players in this game; those who play a social game & those who get here by their scores throughout the game. If you had to choose which one you are, which would it be & why?
I started being the latter kind of player but through the game I slowly evolved into the former kind. I don't feel like I was an exclusively social gamer near the finale but I admit that is the thing that gave me the biggest push to the Top 3.
There are three types of Top 3 players. There's the threat. There's the underdog. And there's the third wheel. Using all 3 types, assign yourself and your opponents to each title and explain why.
DOMINO's the threat. He's been one of the favourites since the beginning and consistently showed how strong he is. Yvess is definitely the underdog. I didn't even know him when the game started so I would've never think of him as a finalist but episode after episode he surprised us all and grew to be one of the strongest contestants with entries getting better every time. I feel like the third wheel because I haven't had the power the other two had during the game and, from the comments in the thread, I can see people rooting for their victory rather than mine so, maybe, I'm seen as an un undeserving finalist by the other members.
Anything else you would like to say before we move on to my personal questions for you?
I just wanna thank you all the ones who supported me through this, contestants and judges, and that made this journey so amazing. Losing would be bittersweet now that I'm so close but I can honestly say that, wherever I'll place, it will be more than okay for me. What really mattered is to have been part of this.

Dylan Asks:

1. What Rihanna song would define your experience here and why?
Where Have You Been.
That's the question I'd supposedly ask to the game if I could. It's incredible I only came to know about the existence of games like this after 3 year of membership on the site and I realized I missed so much so, yeah, it's kind of a new love story with great games like Survivor and all us people involved that make such a fun community to spend time with.
2. Do you think you'd be able to make it on a real season of Survivor?
That would be a LOT of struggles I'd have to face, physically and mentally. Right now, I would say no cause I've never experience nothing similar to that, not even camping, but I feel like you have to live these things and you can only really say when you reach the end of it, may that be the victory or an early elimination.
Speezy asks:

TO ALL 3 : Did you listen to #ByeFelicia?
Duh! I'm still waiting for you to update the game "tonight".
To All 3: One thing you regret doing in the game?
Not putting all of my effort on a couple of challenges because of external issues but I still tried to have good entries so it's not like I really regret it but it's the closest to that feeling.
Bey_RihStan asks:

QUESTIONS FOR ALL THE FINALIST
1. Did you buy Two Eleven on iTunes?
No, I don't own any of Brandy's albums. I listened to pretty much all of them, though. I love Afrodisiac!
2. Who would you put in place of another finalist? (Aka did anyone deserve to be here more than any finalists?)
I predicted different finalists but I think that all the ones that made it until this part of the game really earned it.
prezli asks:

To Superiore: Was there something in the game that you think you shouldn't have done? (Songs you sent in, Tribal Council, etc.) What was your least favorite task and why?
I don't think I should've chosen Demi Lovato for the Musical Chairs-like challenge where everyone had to represent some of the best and of the worst things of his picked artist. I should've gone with someone I'm more familiar with because I felt some of the choices I made were mildly random but still ok. My least favourite task was the one with the three pictures. It was a bit confusing and kinda lame but. whatever, it wasn't that bad.
Element asks:

1. What is your best, strategic move in the competition?
Of course, teaming up with the alliance I talked about in the questions above. That really helped me a lot to get in this finale!
2. What is a life lesson that you have learned from this experience?
Wherever you'll meet him, not only in rates apparently, gotintogonhorrea69 will always be the lamest member ever.
Jokes apart, "life lesson" is a concept too heavy to be applied in this case but, if we relates it to ATRL-life, one would be to never judge a book from its cover. I used to judge members quickly and immediately categorize them in a yes/no list in my brain but, through this game, I learned that everyone has so much behind its avi, username and signature and you can't just really stop there. There are the nicest people behind the most generic profiles and then the sneakiest people behind the fancy and perfect ones. So, yeah, I sharped my judgement skills. We can say that.
3. Compare each jury member and finalist (including yourself) to a pop girl, and explain why you make that comparison. This is an analysis of your social perception of other people.
Amaloner: Christina Aguilera - one of the strongest and smartest contestants.
Bey_RihStan: Rihanna - an overall mess but a really likeable and fun one.
DOMINO: Beyoncé - Powerful, respected, smart, one everyone aspires to be.
Gabegabe: Ariana Grande - he appears to be nice and innocuous but can still go in when he has to.
gotintoririfever1: Miley Cyrus - there's uncountable times to say how much of an entertaining mess he is but he has much more behind that to back it up and sustain him
holyground: Lady Gaga - he's capable of mastering different sides of things in his own way.
prezli: Katy Perry - playful, funny but she knows how to make her work perfect
Remmy: Madonna - witty, strong personality and a long membership on the site + he knows how to play along
Speezy: Kelly Clarkson - confident, funny but sometimes too vanilla
Truth Teller: Kylie Minogue - backed up but a great knowledge, lovely but with a quirk that makes him unique
Yvess: P!nk - he knows how to play cool and have an edge and yet how to be laid-down and friendly
Me: Ke$ha - strong, playful and friendly but I get insecure at times and I have an hard time to deal with it.
Thanks for sitting down with me, Superiore. Good luck in the vote!
Thank you, Dylan! It's been a pleasure to take you behind the scenes. May the odds be ever in the Survivors' favor!

DOMINO
Hello DOMINO. It's been a long journey, but here you stand with Yvess & Superiore only one vote away from winning this game. But before you can get crowned the fourth winner of Survivor: ATRL Edition, there are a series of questions for you to answer giving you one last shot to prove why you deserve this title.
Hey Dillon, it has indeed been a long time. Four months, I believe? It was a great experience and I am thankful that I could be a part of this.
Did you have a strategy coming in here or no? What were your initial thoughts?
Initially I had to build a social game because I have never really checked this game before and didn’t know how it would work. I jumped in at the deep end, so to say. My social plan included having several agreements with individual contestants until a big alliance would form. I made four or five of those agreements that we wouldn’t vote each other out, no matter what. I stuck to my words and clearly they did, too.
I really didn’t want to play dirty games in this one since Big Brother is notorious for that and I already felt bad there. So the alliances that I had were very genuine. Like we were really nice to each other and we kept it till the end.
After you got the whole gist of the game, where did you see yourself placing?
At the beginning I was like this game isn’t right for me. I was placing around the middle all the time and that dragged me down. But once I won immunities I felt more confident and then I believed I could make it till the end with the support I had from my alliances.
An exact placing, though... I guess I saw myself being in the finale. When I enter a game I give it my all and the only plan for me is to win the entire thing.
Who did you expect to see in The Top 3 in your honest opinion? Why?
If you had asked me this three months ago I would have said: Truth Teller, gotintoririfever and Remmy.
But after several talks with Superiore and Yvess I said in December or even at the end of November that I see us three being in the top three, IF our planned worked out. And that prediction became reality because we executed our plans.
How have you enjoyed being part of this Tournament? Anything special?
Of course. I don’t often join games but I was glad to have been in this one. Not only did you do a great job hosting it, Dillon, but also the people I have met in here.
What was great was the fact that I usually never got that deep with lyrics but this game has taught me to pay more attention to them. I love how Survivor incorporated music in such a great and diverse way. And for that I want to thank you.
Based on your actions alone, why should you win this game?
I had a mediocre start but once I found my role in this game my entries picked up and I won immunities or was often placed 2nd or 3rd. After the merge I felt more comfortable because I could explain my decisions and I think Dillon even said before the merge that he saw myself being better after the merge because of my texts. But that’s not all. Because having strong entries is not the only reason to win Survivor. In fact that’s not the core of being a Survivor. I had a strong social game. I gave ideas on who we should eliminate and did some mind controlling. When it came down to it I knew how to win a challenge. But that social game is what got me here.
Why shouldn't your two opponents win this game?
Because they didn’t struggle to come here. Because I literally had to survive so many eliminations it’s not even funny. There was always at least one vote against me in every tribal council I took part in.
Superiore and Yvess have had good entries here and there but they have never been viewed as threats because they barely were targets. I was a target – and that very often - but still made it here.
Who do you think you will have the hardest time competing with in the vote?
As much as I love Superiore, I think Yvess might get lots of votes. But one thing I have learned in this game is to never underestimate someone. So I will probably have a hard time with both.
If you do not win this competition, who should & why?
If I do not win this competition I think Superiore should win. Just like me he had a strong social game and managed to get here. He was more of a target than Yvess was.
But don’t get it twisted. Yvess would deserve it as much as he does.
Is there anyone in the Top 3 who you feel should not be here? If so, who should be in their place?
No. Like I said before I saw us three being in the final three. Every single one of us deserves to be here.
This Tournament is called Survivor for a reason. What is your definition of a true Survivor?
A survivor is someone who can adapt to a situation and make it till the end. Someone who is strong enough to lead every now and then but also to hold back and let others decide. Someone who makes sure that he/she is safe no matter what.
Take us through your alliances this season. From day one to now who have you been aligned with and how has it changed throughout the course of this game?
When I started this game I quickly made individual agreements with FunkyDinevo, Remmy, Superiore and Yvess to never vote for each other, no matter what.
When the merge approached I talked with Yvess about merging our side alliances into a big one so he took prezli and gotintoririfever and I took Superiore and Remmy and we became a six-person-power-alliance who most definitely ruled the island.
Did you betray any allies you had during the season? If so who & why?
No I didn’t. I have mentioned before that I would not play dirty games in this games and I didn’t. We merged our side alliances and made it a big one and I stuck with them forever. Never did I think of leaving them because it was so genuine.
Do you have any regrets in the competition that you feel could hurt you in the vote?
I don’t regret anything but it irritated me that Gabegabe did some things behind the scenes and when I confronted him about it I knew I had lost a vote. I was so hurt because he told lies about me. But it was nothing personal so I hope he accepts this apology of mine – it was a mistake to publicly confront you when I could have just PM’ed you, Gabegabe. I hope you can forgive me.
There's two general types of players in this game; those who play a social game & those who get here by their scores throughout the game. If you had to choose which one you are, which would it be & why?
I was a mix because I did place well and have a good average but if I had to pick I would say I was more of a social player. After we made our big alliance I already thought of strategies to get rid of some people and always stayed loyal to my alliance. So yeah, more of a social player with good entries.
There are three types of Top 3 players. There's the threat. There's the underdog. And there's the third wheel. Using all 3 types, assign yourself and your opponents to each title and explain why.
Are you serious?
Hmm... this is so hard and unfair.
In my eyes Yvess was the threat because of his strong entries but clearly he wasn’t one for the others since he barely had votes against him in the tribal councils.
The underdog is me because I started out shaky but got stronger and stronger each week.
The third wheel would have to be Superiore then. But that is ridiculous because he isn’t the third wheel. He is a strong player as well.
Anything else you would like to say before we move on to my personal questions for you?
Yes. I want to say that I really really really want to win this game. I fought very hard to be where I’m at. Facing votes against me from week to week and almost being eliminated due to a tie have not made me lose focus. I have constantly delivered solid entries and now I am here and ready.

1. What Beyoncé song would define your experience here and why?
2. Do you think you'd be able to make it on a real season of Survivor?
|
1) I Care: Because I really care about my gameplay and that’s the main reason why I’m standing here. I care about my entries. And ultimately I care to win. This is very important to me because it has been my goal ever since I put my name on the sign-up list.
2) I think it depends. Overall I would say yes because I like to get far with a good strategy so strategy-wise I think I would be able to join a real season of Survivor. However, sleeping would a be an issue at the beginning because I don’t like to sleep in nature.

Speezy asks:
TO ALL 3 : Did you listen to #ByeFelicia?
To All 3: One thing you regret doing in the game?

1) Honestly no. And I couldn’t even find it after reading your question.
2) Oh, I already answered this before. Let me copy and paste:
I don’t regret anything but it irritated me that Gabegabe did some things behind the scenes and when I confronted him about it I knew I had lost a vote. I was so hurt because he told lies about me. But it was nothing personal so I hope he accepts this apology of mine – it was a mistake to publicly confront you when I could have just PM’ed you, Gabegabe. I hope you can forgive me.

QUESTIONS FOR ALL THE FINALIST
1. Did you buy Two Eleven on iTunes?
2. Who would you put in place of another finalist? (Aka did anyone deserve to be here more than any finalists?)
|
1) I didn't buy the album but let me tell you.. I USED it sooooo much. Wildest Dreams, Slower and Without You are so good.
2) I wouldn't replace anyone because I think we all deserve to be here. I answered this before in one of Dillon's questions.

prezli asks:
To DOMINO: You had an alliance with FunkyDinevo when we were in Brilando. I don't exactly know what your goal was with it because only the two of you were in it. The four of us were on the other side. It was a bit ridiculous, so tell me.
|
It wasn't an alliance - more like an agreement that we would never vote each other out. I believe that I reached out to him before the tribes were even announced BUT I expected him to make it to the merge so yeah..

3. Compare each jury member and finalist (including yourself) to a pop girl, and explain why you make that comparison. This is an analysis of your social perception of other people.
|
1) My best move in this competition is the careful selection of people who I'd work with and of course merging my people with Yvess's people. The alliance that came out of it was strong and look where we are.
2) To never give up. I was a target in this game but still managed to make it to the finale. Being jeopardized in many tribal councils didn't stop me from giving my all in the following entries.
3) Okay here we go:
Gabegabe - Lady Gaga (He likes to tell things that are not true here and there )
Bey_Rihstan - Rihanna (She is so messy at times but don't we all love her?)
Amaloner - Kesha (Was great at entries but suddenly disappeared)
holyground - Nelly Furtado (Used to be so strong but since her departure she went missing)
Remmy - Madonna (I feel like Remmy is a royal in the games section)
Speezy - Lana Del Rey (Started out strong but got weaker later.)
gotintoririfever1 - Christina Aguilera (Both are hilarious and he obviously stans for her)
Truth Teller - Nicki Minaj (Actually he has a lot of similarities with me when it comes to urban music)
prezli - Katy Perry (Truly the Dark Horse of this season)
Yvess - Taylor Swift (Always serving strong entries and a nice person)
Superiore - Ciara (Too nice for this world)
DOMINO - Beyoncé (Solid entries, nice personality and I brought a bit of class into this game)
Phew... this was so messy and hard I can't. I'm apologizing already if you feel offended.
Thanks for sitting down with me, DOMINO. Good luck in the vote!
Thanks for having me, Dillon. I hope I convinced you guys to vote for me. Like I said before:
I worked so hard to get here. Please make my wishes come true by voting for me.

Now that all interviews are posted, the Final Vote has officially started. The 9 Jury Members will have a little less than 2 days to send a vote in for who they believe is the true winner this season.
Votes Due: January 18th @ 9:00 PM US Pacific Timezone
http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...g=Votes+Due%21
If your vote is not in by then, you simply won't vote which would be disappointing so please submit a vote by that time. Almost 2 days is enough time to decide. On the show, they decide in a matter of minutes.
The Winner Announcement will follow only a few mere hours after the voting due date.
Finale: January 19th @ 1:00 AM US Pacific Timezone
I know it's a weird time for people near my timezone but all three contestants are part of a later timezone and their presence is more important than the juries convenience for the finale so you'll just have to all catch up when you log on.
http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...&msg=Winner%21
I will PM you all a link to the winner announcement so there are no spoilers beforehand.
Until then, it's time to get to thinking and sending in that vote of yours, Jury! Your job is finally here. Who will you all crown as the winner of Survivor: ATRL Edition: Season 4?
prezli | Truth Teller

gotintoririfever1 | Speezy | Remmy

holyground | Amaloner | Bey_RihStan | Gabegabe

I'll be awaiting your votes.
See you all at the Finale!
Good luck Yvess, Superiore, & DOMINO!
 - Dylan
