I liked this episode but it didn't feel like a mid season finale.

you pretty much summed this season so far up, like the priest, ron and Morgan put everyone's lives in danger and yet everybody gone act like its okay.

and not Morgan trying to tame that 'W' guy like he was trying to convert a wild animal to a pet.

this, theyve done this so many times where the group has the upper hand by having the gun pointed at the enemy and all the enemy has is a knife yet they always end up dropping the gun - as if a bullet takes 10 seconds to reach its target

i also didnt get why morgan needed a whole episode for this season, like i liked him but really? even other major characters didnt get their own episode.

low key liked morgan and rooted for him (and found carol annoying) but now i want morgan to die like girl carol is an elder and he just wants to slam her like she gone get back up right with no life sustained injuries?

I've just finally caught up and oh my god I've gone from loving this show to hating most of the characters.

I have never wanted a character to die in a show so much - Carl needs to get the **** outta this show, I can't stand him and his stupid ****ing hat! He just infuriates me so much, just him on screen not saying anything wants me to punch his face. I really was hoping Ron would have shot him in his nuts or held him against the window long enough for his ear to get ripped off. CANT STAND HIM.

Eugene is another character that needs to die already. What the **** is his purpose? Is he suppose to be the comedic character because he is useless and just not funny at all. The whole "I can pick lock" thing was a load of rubbish, that doesn't make you valuable you annoying *****. Grow some nuts and stop acting like a 10 year old.

Morgan, If he has done anything to Carol... If she develops arthritis after that body slam I am going to switch off. Why oh why do the writers feel the need to keep him around? He is just pathetic and him keeping that W guy alive, trying to be this "Ohhh we dont need to kill them, we can be better than them" bull is driving me up the wall.

The priest... I don't even know his name because that's how useless he is. What is his purpose? He has brought nothing to this show, not even anything minor. He is just there to annoy everyone and preach a lot of crap and now the writers are trying to turn his character around by making him seem less "weak". He needs to also go.

If Denise dies I am going to be so so so upset. I love Denise already mainly thanks to the actress being Zoe in Nurse Jackie, but still.. Denise is a character who doesn't want to fight but you can tell she wouldn't take **** and would actually kill someone if needs be. That's what I can stand, not those who cry about killing people or being scared to die like a big baby.

That Sam kid, I understand he's young and of course you would be scared if you were a kid in that situation, but what the **** was the whole "Mom, mom, mom" thing when they were trying to camouflage in? Like I would have seriously pushed that kid into the ****ing walkers to shut his annoying ass up. If they make him another Carl, I wont be able to take it... Two Carls? ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH.. NO THANK YOU.

Deanna dying was so predictable and was a major cop out. She had so much potential and the show needed a character like her.

The writers are really screwing this show up. Why are they keeping all the annoying, dislikeable, trashy characters alive, yet killing off the good ones? What is the point? They better turn this **** around in the second half because I'll happily stop watching.

Just after zombies swarmed the gates of Alexandria in Episode 8, The Walking Dead show-runner Scott Gimple promised, “Episode 9 is one of the biggest episodes we’ve done.” “So many people die,”

As Dustin Rowles over on Uproxx points out, The Walking Dead is about to introduce a huge crowd of new characters. Not just Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s villainous Negan, but also several members of a new location called the Hilltop Colony as well as members of Negan’s gang, the Saviors.

The trailer for Episode 9 has a lot of hints as to why the midseason premiere will make for a particularly rough Valentine’s Day date. When we left off, Rick, Carl, Jessie, and her sons, Sam and Ron, were lined up in a row trying to re-create Rick and Glenn’s gut-smeared zombie walk from Season 1.

In the comics, this same set up goes just about as well as you might think. Jessie’s son—Ron in the comics but, as you can see, the agoraphobic Sam here—freaks out mid-plan. He refuses to go and calls out loud enough to alert the zombies. Jessie won’t leave him even as he goes down but also refuses to let go of Carl’s hand. The Episode 9 teaser makes sure you remember that she has a firm grasp on Carl.

In the comics, rather than watch his son get dragged into a zombie frenzy, Rick hacks off Jessie’s hand, effectively killing his girlfriend (who may or may not already be bitten at this point) to save his son. Ah, love in the time of zombies.

It's the first time in 5 years that I'm not that excited for this to be coming back. But i truly hope I'm wrong. The first part of the season was mediocre at best. The 2nd and 3rd episode were amazing but the rest were mostly bad.
I do think that when it comes back, it's going to come with a BANG. The writers tend to break the TV show stereotypes, so after that winter finale, i expect this new episode to PUNCH.
