right? like a lot of 1989, it's less fact-based, specific mentions to her life, and more generalized and metaphorical. BUT the metaphors in that song are absolutely fantastic. the pre-chorus alone >>>>>
too bad it's so short. i really don't understand why she equated "pop" with "short," because if she wrote more lyrics to the songs i think they would've been even better.
or, you could say the shortness does its job, and the album doesn't feel long like SN and R might.
