Clear Channel is a mafia, it should be outlawed tbh, but radio is like that all over the world. I know people who work in the industry and they tell me it's hell getting new acts to break radio, so much payola is involved (in the form of everything from concert tickets to paid luxury vacations), and radio DJs never get to choose what they play anymore.
