Just sent mine in. The restriction was very challenging seeing as like >90% of song have an E in the title
But I think it made me tap into my creative juices more although I'm not a strong fan of my middle song, it's predictable but it matches the artwork!
Although without the 'e' restriction I probably would've had gone for the concept of the undesirable devouring the image of "perfection" as the doll represent that. Not sure which concept I like better tho but we'll see
VERSE I: TOGETHER Me & You
"And I'll hold you with such delicacy
No, they won't catch you and me"
This song by Jake Bugg I think is a great opening to my trinity. When I looked at the image that I was given I immediately thought of support being a major theme within it with the forks holding the eggs. I thought this song really represents how supporting one another is something that is important in an relationship. I think attachment is another theme that this song and the photo both have in common. The forks must always remain together to hold the egg up and in this song Bugg illustrates how he must remain with his girlfriend at all times and hide from the cold world to remain together. I think another relatable line in the song to the photo is "There's so little time and places to see and we can wait so patiently" as this represents how eventually physics will come into play and one of the forks will fall, Bugg explains to us he realizes that time is ticking but he may as well make the time he has together with his girlfriend the most that it can be much like the forks until the egg ends up falling.
VERSE II: HOLDING ON Give Up
"Just nod your head and get up
I'm not going let you give up, babe."
In this song FKA Twigs tells a story about a relationship where she herself necessarily didn't feel involved or really into and neither did her partner. But she knew that if he left her she would fall apart and become a mess. She realizes that she is equally as bad in this matter but she will do anything to keep him in her life even if it's toxic to them and a waste of time to prevent her turning into a state of insanity. This is relevant to the photo as despite the forks devoting their lives to holding the egg together and wasting time they are rusting away there but if one were to move the other would fall as well so they encourage each other to stay anyways. If the egg smashes it will cause a mess that is unrecoverable, similar to the issue Twigs is having with her relationship she realizes that if she allows him to Give Up on their relationship that there will be no way of turning it back to the way it was.
VERSE III: AFTERMATH Just Askin'
"You was hanging so hard, you nearly lost that
Little trick you like to do, yeah I taught that"
I think this song is a perfect representation of the aftermath of our forks when they move and drop the egg, the foundation that they held onto so long. So in our last song we left our eggs having a troubling relationship but they wanted to finish it, they were sick of holding onto each other in a miserable state with the egg. In this song Iggy Azalea gives a detailed illustration of what happens after the break-up, sure they were hurting for awhile. In the bridge of this song it shows a phone call of her upset about her man finding someone new, but she moves on with life and continues to find a new man, or a new fork in this case. Azalea realizes that it's better to start new, even if there is a mess at the start and heartbreak similarly to our fork-characters who were devastated at them losing the egg they have held onto for so long they have moved on and are able to start new again and hold on. I think that's what support is all about though, if you are unhappy then it should be a mutual decision to separate despite the consequences.
DevonDreams
The year is unknown. Humanity has been taken over by technology.
The signs were all around them. People obsessed with phones and computers.
Through Separation and confusion and through the chaos and destruction.
The world was falling apart, but she held tight ..but she couldn't hold on
Bodies mutated into beautiful strange creatures. We were little machines with little memories, but the bond she shared with her child could not be forgotten.
When I see this picture I see that destruction and hurt could not outweigh these creatures and their love for each other. The following songs represent their bond, loss, and most imporantly their unbreakable love for each other.
"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts."

Chill Bill
Hola! My name is Guillermo Miguel- or, as some people call me, "Guillermo Frio."
I see you are admiring my painting of the smoking girl.
It is quite pretty, no?
Well, you may be intrigued to find out that the painting has quite the backstory. Let me tell you all about it!
The Girl
Song Choice: "Latin Simone" by Gorillaz
During the summer months, there’s nothing I like better than spending my afternoons at the sidewalk cafes in Astoria, Queens. It’s a beautiful neighborhood, and the lively yet low-key atmosphere gives me plenty of opportunities to watch people- which, in turn, gives me inspiration for my paintings.
There was one cafe in particular where I would always, without fail, find one girl sitting alone at one of the tables, smoking a cigarette. This girl was, how you say, a walking contradiction. She was always scowling on such a beautiful day, and her skin was perpetually pale even though she was sitting out in the sunlight whenever I saw her. Even on the clearest of days, she still acted as though she was being smothered; “todo el cielo aplatandose*,” you might say.
“Algo siempre te entristece cuando todo va bien**,” I wanted to ask her. "¿Qué pasa contigo***?”
Not that I ever said any of that to her out loud, since I doubt my half hearted pick-me-up lines would do anything to change the melancholy, minor-key’d melody that was undoubtedly playing in her head. That, and she had a furious, soul-piercing look in her eyes that always gave me pause.
* The sky was overwhelming her
** You’re always so sad when everything’s going well
*** What’s wrong with you?
The Painting
Song Choice: "Queens" by Caravan Palace
One day, I worked up the courage to ask her permission to paint her, and she gave me an unenthused, “Go ahead.” The serene, yet austere music that the cafe played certainly fit the mood of the painting, with her pale, pouting face draped over the bluest, most beautiful sky you’d ever seen.
The whole time I was painting her, she kept mumbling about “queens” and “a place she'd never been” and “ideas in shambles.” I couldn’t figure out what most of that meant, but I assumed that she was talking about the borough when she mentioned Queens (since that was where we were). But if that was the case, why did she describe it as a place she’d never been?
When I showed her my work, she slapped me hard in the face and then told me it was perfect. I didn’t know what to make of that.
The Mystery Uncovered
Song Choice: "Minnie the Moocher" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
That was the last time I ever saw her. She never returned to the cafe, and I never bothered to get her number, so there was no way for me to find her again. But I couldn’t just leave the mystery of her character unsolved, so I started asking around, desperate to find anyone who knew who she was. I got a few answers- some specific, some vague, some plausible, some obviously false- but one man’s account put everything into place for me.
Her name was Minnie. In her younger years, she was a sweet little thing with a heart “as big as a whale.” But puberty hit her like a mack truck, and she became sexually active during her early years in high school- which, to be clear, I have no problem with per se. The problem came when she started getting intimate with a notorious drug dealer known around the neighborhood as “Smokey,” who introduced her to PCP. The man I was talking to mentioned that, at the peak of her addiction, she had vivid hallucinations about the King of Sweden spoiling her and lavishing her with riches.
And just like that, everything I had seen thus far suddenly made sense.
When she was mumbling about queens, she wasn’t talking about the borough of all. She was talking about being a queen, living among other royals. And she called it a place she’d never been because she knew that it was just a drug-induced fantasy that would never become a reality. That’s why she could never feel happy, even on the most beautiful of days; the world we were living in just couldn’t compare to the vibrant world that PCP took her to.
As for where she is now, I haven’t a clue. Some say she overdosed, some say she killed herself, and some say she ascended to a higher plane of existence. Whatever the case is, the painting you see here is the only thing I’ll have to remember her by.
Poor Minnie. Poor Min.
Mirrorwriting
the moon song; i'm lost in my fantasy world, swallowed by the sea, dreaming about your embrace. Rocked slowly by the waves, while dreams of dancing fish cascade under the starlit sky. There is no place I'd rather be than in my mind while i wait fondly for your return.
swept away; you have me convinced there is no where better. when you left, when you were swept away by the tides I lost myself in distant memories. The crystalline blue turns into a murky grey as I descend deeper and deeper.
acid wash; fallen deep into the darkest depths, i am faced with your final departure and lost at what to do. you've battled long against the storm but it has finally taken over. and yet standing on the moonlit shore, i see you from afar...

THE ART TRINITY about the world & it's music
this image immediately reminded me of the world music popular in the early 90s.
these songs represent that image and are the greatest representation of the image to me.
Sa ziza zecob dela dalou'a, boralea'e borale mi komi oula
Etawuae'o ela'o coralia wu'aila, ilei pandera zel e' tomu pere no mo mai
Procedamus in pace
In nomine Christi, Amen Let us go forth in peace
So the world goes round and round, with all you ever knew
They say the sky high above, is Caribbean blue...
As soon as I first saw this piece, the shape was one of the immediate things that stood out to me. Instantly, Moumoon's Cocoon leapt in to my head upon seeing the shape is cocoon like and this piece can really relate to the song. One example being the lyric "Outside I'm better than ever / Inside I'm a little bit shattered." which fits this piece perfectly as the "outside" is the obvious fun, colourful and lively silly string layer whilst the "inside" represents the protagonist underneath all of the silly string who is a lot more vulnerable and emotional beckoning someone to "Come find me, come find me" underneath the outside layer they put on to brave the world.
The opening lyrics to the song can also represent to how the piece itself is presented. "In a flickering metropolis, / the night nearly drowns in a nectar of dreams." The night being the black drop which you obviously wouldn't focus on and the "nectar of dreams" being the bright, multicoloured main piece.
The Material AKB48 // Party is over
The next thing that stands out about this piece is obviously the material used, which is the silly string. The artist themselves even described the piece as an “after party” which made me think of this song. The lyrics that stand out the most whilst observing this piece are “Doesn't matter if it's real or fake, right?/Even so, what I want/Is a cushion to ease my loneliness/I wanted someone to stop me from running”. This relates to the piece as it can be said that it doesn't matter if this piece is “real or fake” as the artist created it as a “cushion to ease my loneliness” and possibly as a way in order to grab a particular person's attention to “stop me from running”.
The Colour Curumi Chronicle // Rainbow
The last thing that really stood out to me was the colours hence why I picked this bright and colourful song as it matches the colours of piece perfectly. “Light bathed in your heart like a rainbow / it lights up the dull sky” can describe how the piece is presented to whomever views it as the dull sky can be the pitch black background with the piece being the object that lights up this dulll sky. The song also references a vivid imagination of someone, which can describe the artist as they must have had some imagination in order to think to even create the piece.
(I couldn't find the English lyrics to this but based on my translation it's relating colours to weather and the sky and how the protagonist's wish for a better tomorrow could come true. Sorry about that!! )
DripDrip
My stomach hurts now, and all tied off in lace
I pray, I beg for anything, to hit me in the face
and this sicknes isn't me, I pray to fall from grace
The last thing I see is feeling
And I'm telling you I'm a fake
In my own interpretation of the painting, at first I saw a bit of domestic abuse but as I looked closer and noticed they were attached I saw something different. It seemed like a girl battling her own inner monster and it starting to take over her. So I wanted to base then entry about that feeling of getting taken over by a mental sickness, and I chose "I'm A Fake" as the first song because once you start going down that road you don't start feeling yourself and who you're presenting yourself to the world isn't you. Much like the wolf, or the girl. Who's the real person?
When did I become such a hypocrite
Double life, lies that you caught me in
Trust me I'm paying for it
With every move I die
On the floor I'm just a zombie
Who I am is not who I wanna be
I'm such a tragedy
Continuing down that road of trying to fend off the monster inside the girl, I wanted to play up more of the "having two different sides" and continuing to go down into becoming that monster. With the lines like "who I am is not who I wanna be" and the chorus of her struggling to survive and keep afloat, I felt like this was perfect song for what I feel the piece meant to myself. In the piece it seemed like she was trying to just complete every day simple objects, but with that lingering feelings of depression or madness over her, how could she. It's the song about struggling to stay afloat once it has a hold of you.
Got different people inside my head
I wonder which one that they like best
I'm done with tryin' to have it all
And endin' up with not much at all.
To finish off the trinity, I wanted to use a continuation of the theme of being two people. I looked up the piece and its a still from a claymation called "We are not two, we are one". So I wanted to have that be an overlying theme but I saw it more as the girl not accepting that. Since the expressions on her face seemed pain to have to have this dark wolf attached to her, its where the concept of Fear and Loathing came into my head. While the song has a bit of a positive vibe, it seems to be more of a hope then an actual acceptance, and to me the face that she hasn't completely been become the "one" with the wolf, is a good sign.

My Floating Trinity
This piece of art is all about being free and feeling high
Mariah Carey - I Am Free
"Now, I am, free"
I chose this song from the perspective of myself in the future. One day I will come out of the closet and face my fears and the only thing I think about is that I can be myself. I will be free from pretending to be anything I am not. It links with the piece of art because the fan represents people's expectations of me (straight) but the material floating is me, escaping from the fan and flying away (gay). The song sounds like you're floating on an empowering cloud.
Gorgon City - Elevate
"You got me feeling like I'm in a cloud
We were meant to stand out from the crowd
And you know we're never coming down"
This song is about having fun and not caring about what others think. It relates to the last song as the fan is the negativity but this time it's pushing me away. People can say whatever but if you carry on having fun and living your life, they're the ones that will fail. The song links to the art because the tone of the vocals are very airy and care-free.
Rihanna - Higher https://open.spotify.com/album/3SJBLyMdjlp7N09Zb6sh4G (sorry there's no YT link)
"You take me higher,
Higher than I've ever been babe"
When I hear this song it makes me think about someone special and close to my heart. There's so many happy memories that half of me is smiling and half of me is upset. I relate to the song because Rihanna calls her boo in the early hours of the mornign and drunk... I do that to this person. Higher reminds me of the floating artwork because it's as if when I'm thinking about all of these feelings I have, I'm in a daydream world. I'm still happy (the material) but I know the fan will be an important part of my life.
A Bomb
Pecinta Mariah
The Golden Petal
"If you have your moms, you better treat her right
Call her up, say "wassup" before you sleep tonight
Tell her you love her and thank her for what she did"
The Strongest Root
"Words can't express my boundless gratitude for you
I appreciate what you do
You've given me such security
No matter what mistakes I know you're there for me
You cure my disappointments and you heal my pain
You understand my fears and you protected me
Treasure every extraordinary memory and that's why…"
Little Dandelions
"Our love is supernatural
Hey baby, actually I'm for sure
It's forever
Talking 'bout Our love
We, communicate without saying the words aloud
Heavenly, it's more than a state of mind
Now that you're in my life"
Wait, who is this man? I like how he actually has interest in me. I am certain that he is serious in this blooming relationship of ours. Our conversation flows effortlessly as we share many similar interests. He kisses me on my cheek gently and I feel a sense of warmth engulfing me.
This is what I've been looking for. We've only just begun.
"Sharing horizons that are new to us, watching the signs along the way, talkin' it over, just the two of us."
We have setlled into a steady rhythm of love.
You have completely taken over my life and there's no one I see other than you. We talk about having pets, your high school teacher and your baby cousin. My mind just keeps running whenever I'm with you. I have never felt so comfortable with someone before.
I have fallen too deep in this relationship. I really like you.
"It's like everything you say is a sweet revelation, all I wanna do is get into your head."
You want to make our relationship official. Everyone thinks we make a good couple.
Our conversation gradually becomes increasingly mature. Mushy and corny talk is a thing of a past now. We have moved on to dicussing about our future plans - our wedding, our career and our kids.
We are not afraid to express our love to each other. Who cares what others have to say? We just don't care.
"Let's go to the park, I wanna kiss you underneath the stars."

Trio To Paradise
Take a look at the birds. One bird seems to be left behind, about to take on his own journey to paradise with no shortcuts.
The Impossible
The view of a possible endless road can be devastating. It seems like attempting it is the best you can give and eventually make it possible to do
Quote:
Breakin' down the walls
Do the impossible
Work Hard
Taking the easy way out to get to a desired place in life isn’t helpful. Deciding take one step at a time against the impossible to make it possible will pay off.
Quote:
One step at a time there's no need to rush
Hard Work Pays Off
With that hard work, awaits a prize to show off your efforts. Paradise isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. It will be a place for you to relax and enjoy and release your tension when you finally get there”
Quote:
The warm thoughts set your tensions aside,
There's a paradise waiting for us in summertime

Clueless
Otto Piene
You're like the kiss of life, building in the sky
Boy you're just a fantasy,
oh baby, you come into my room
But you're just a fantasy
Yellow is the color of sunshine and signifies joy, happiness, tactfulness and energy
This airy House inspired track is so liberating and bouncy; you'll feel like you're running through a field of tulips without a care in the world when you listen to it! The song is about a lover that you feel so attatched to, but in reality you can't have them because they're only in your dreams and don't exist. It's kinda like the gheys on ATRL thirsting over straight guys, oooonly in their dreams!
There's a thumpin' that's filled with violence
And he creeps in through the walls at night when,
when I can't see, happy from sad, good or bad
All I need is silence
The color red signifies fire and blood, so it is associated with war, danger, strength, power and determination.. as well as passion, desire, and love
Now this sonically upbeat track has a totally different meaning from it's sound.. This song depicts Elly fighting with her dark side; her anxiety. Anxiety plagues many (me being one of them) and is quite the roadblock to get over in life.. Elly is literally begging for the intruding voice inside her head to cease.
I was hoping and I was searching endlessly
but baby, now there's nothing left that I can do
So don't be blue,
there is another future waiting there for you
The color black relates to the hidden, secretive and the unknown which creates an air of mystery. Black is associated with wisdom, power, fear, strength, sophistication, death, evil, aggression and rebellion
This song portrays the end of an intimate relationship.. though the tie with this person must end, that doesn't mean that your happiness must also end. The end of a relationship can be the beginning of something mysterious and new with the next person you fall in love with

The Doll and the Beast

Originally posted by The Dreadful Day
One stormy night in this very castle, the Prince had a visitor. However he wasn’t prepared to receive them as this peculiar night was one of his extreme meat-eating spur. He ordered over half of the town livestocks be slaughtered. It was a holy week where we weren’t suppose to eat meat as well so everything was done in secret. But anyway the guest wouldn’t leave and Master got very angry.
He rushed to the door, open it and said: ‘listen you bitch, I don’t have time for you incessant knocking. And I don’t care if you’re ****ing wet. Leave my property at one’ and he threw a plastic bag and some bread at her. However the visitor turned out to be a witch and made this saying: ‘I will turn you into a terrible, undesirable beast. Your servants, I shall them turn into butcher items as a remainder to your unholy obsession with meat. The only way you will ever turn back, is to capture the brain of the one who truly love you. But behold, the the dead rose rebuilds itself. If it rebuilds itself completely and bloom. You will be stuck like this forever and forced to decay into oblivion.’ And off she went, turning everyone what she said she would. And now Master screams everyday for brains and human fresh. But you are different, Dearie. He hungers for you in a very different way and you do not see him as a beast.
The main idea of this song is setting the viewpoint of the Master. The slowness of the first part of the lyrics really fit the slowness of the zombie as he recognizes this love. The song is perfect from the title to the lyrics for describing how the Master feels about what’s happening.
In true fairytale fashion, she falls for him. The endless desire for brains did not disturb her. The decaying, rotting flesh did not fray her. And his soulless eyes… did not see past her at all. She was determined to make a sacrifice. She was going to give him the brain of the only person that could ever love a beast.
The Prince returned to his normal self. But at a price, he lost the only one he truly loved. He’s conflicted with living knowing that he costed someone their life. If this is a fairytale ending, then it’s certainly isn’t a happy one. And… well I’ll leave it open-ended for anyone looking at this trinity.
