I've had my song done for 2 days but I just got to more ideas today. My current one is a folk ballad and I have ideas for a pop song and a country song.

Just wrote a new song that is slightly better but still not good. imo there's barely any (if any) purely happy lyrics that sound good without the music because lyrics without conflict are boring and it's hard to work conflict into a song that's just supposed to be happy. Nevertheless the song I wrote this week is more of a love song and it's called Tandem. It's pretty uncharacteristically orthodox except for this weird reference I made to the double-slit experiment I need to edit out.

Exactly. I started listening to a bunch of happy songs and realized they're happy mostly because of the music, not the lyrics. Prepare for a lot of really corny submissions judges
